Google just introduced a brand new slap to get rid of fake affiliate review sites and blogs.

See what Perry Marshall says about it
    Code:
    http://www.perrymarshall.com/product-review-google-slap/
    .

    Quick Fix?

    Read number 1 comment at
    Code:
    http://cashtactics.net/07/21/urgent-update-did-google-just-bomb-review-landing-sites/

. I believe it gives you detailed instructions on how to avoid it.

    Solution?
As Perry Marshall suggests, aim for listbuilding. Build trust, and market your affiliate stuff to the list.

This is what you should be doing anyway, without the slap or not.
This increases the value you get for each ad click by at least %300 more. You proabably know this already, but, it's never enough to say it. Someone you promote an affiliate product to through email is much more likely to buy from you than if you were just simply and only sending them to a review page and never establishing contact with them again.

Well I do have to agree. I tell people I work with and have been telling them for years. Build a list Build a list Build a list. Market products via the list . On the website make them value your opinion. Give them some great content and some ideas to get started.

Maybe just maybe now people will start realizing this ;) One hundred people you have on your list. this is an example btw. One hundred people on your list 10 may buy your product because they feel you are trustworthy. If they like the product chances are they will listen to your recommendations even more and buy even more products from you. So where before you might have got on sell in one hundred you have a list of potential clients that can make you even more money over time.

Thanks google for making my point ;)

^ I just posted a download of how to build a list

This is How those guru's make millions - once you build a list and you hit "critical mass" you can exchange lists, cross promote and build a consumer base that will buy your recommendations because they trust you

wtf is wrong with affiliates? how come they don't slap everyone who's selling anything, it's all spam, right? Why not just get rid of all the pages with ads on them??? Oh.... right. Maybe that's why google doesn't have an affiliate program. you really make me laugh, you damn bastards

Reading this makes me wonder also. It's all ban this, ban that. All these pathetic regulations that do not make any sense at all.

Someone on this forum mentioned they are afraid of getting sued for misleading advertising. My opinion that it is time to tell everyone who is trying to sue so much to fuck off right now and simply disallow any more courts like that. Court become a goldmine for losers to feed off legitimate businesses. I have no idea why American ppl just do not want to stop bullshit corruption.

You have to remember that google thinks of itself as the Internet Police. They once pulled about $8,000 (roughly 1 week's sales) from my Google Checkout account and then closed it because someone told them that we were marketing the software I had written in large part by spamming myspace comments (this was a few years ago).

When I asked for my money, they told told me "no" and when I asked why, they said that the reasons were "proprietary and confidential". In other words, "sue us, we have better lawyers than you." I actually got a Google employee to tell me in one of their newsgroups after badmouthing them that "Google's services cannot be used to support people who misuse the Internet".

Let me see....that wipes out about 1/2 of the people using adwords (and adsense). It's insane.

Actually am going to post something ridiculous!!!

What I am thinking is this:

Is there anything we can do as an IM communnity to cause really a lot of business problems to Google? Like really do what ever possible to fuck up their system.

By all means I mean very seriously put a conscious effort in fucking them up.

For example create blogs and contact inverstment community and get them informed about management issues in Google. Do something that may negatively impact their stock and really ruin their system.

I am sure more of you will have ideas in terms of hacking spamming their site to a very alarming degree.

Why I am so enthusiastic about this?

I got screwed unfairly. My business acquaintances got fucked up as well.

The customer service at Google is horrendous: very arrrogant and unhelpful motherfuckers. Literally!

By all means all this abuse of legitimate businesses got to stop as they do what ever they can to hurt legitimate buinesses by creating rules that limit our marketing potential(talking about whitehat sites here of course).

I do want them to fuck up like most big US companies did.

There was absolutely nothing useful GOOG done for advertisers and users in 2000-2009. Just abuse of high PPC spenders.

I mean what kind of a fucking business would tell you `^please do not contact us again^^

No respect for any customers literally.
