Can anyone share methods to make money off of this? I affiliate with host gator but can't seem to get anyone to sign up. I use web hosting forums and talk with people but it dosent seem to work.

P.S. I'm kinda a noob at this

hosting is hard.... im an affiliate with them too and they hold your commissions for 2 months.....

go and make a coupon site or something then you might get some but still alot of work really

yea it is hard. The commission isn't a problem with me cause if i can make enough through it itll pay off. Thanks for the idea though, just might do that.

its tough competition i really suggest unless you are a pro marketer that you stay away from hosting all together unless its a backend sale.

Even i dont touch hosting

Hosting review sites convert well.
Find a template on google and replace links with your affiliate links.Do not use search engine traffic bids are too expensive but you can use miva,adwords content network.
One more tip: After you set up your site ask for reviews of your site on big forums.Believe or not i made 2 sales with this method.

ok thanks. I had the idea of paying people like 20 bucks to sign up for one month of host gator and have a little extra. That way i make 80 profit or so. Any opinion on this method?

isnt working this way dude, be honest and make a full review site, it converts, really converts, take 10 top site review and make adwords ads, it converts better than offering hosting by free*
