Affiliate Program?

Hello,

First of all this is not spam and I'm asking for advice and not self promoting at all.


I'm thinking about starting an affiliate program and I'm new to the process.

First I need to buy an affiliate component So I can add and track affiliate activities, but I want to make sure that I can get affiliates and have a program that is mutually beneficial for me and my affiliates.

My site is an online pharmacy. I'm selling mostly the ED medicines. My merchant account will not allow me to sell pain killers and Class 4 substances.

My prices are competitive, the lowest sale being about $25 and the highest is around $300. So I was thinking about at least a 20% commission on sales? The low end isn't much but if you get a $100 dollar sale that's $20 right there. I'm willing to work with affiliates to make custom sales pages.

Can anybody with experience in being an affiliate tell me if this is a good deal or not? What attracts you as an affiliate? And where can I promote my affiliate program?

Any hints and tips are appreciated!


(BTW this is my first post, I fell in love with this community... many people on here are true innovators )

If you've got some cash I'd recommend working as an advertiser with CPA Networks, they take care of almost everything. How much ($$ wise) can you invest into this?

Well I've done mostly everything for free up to this point, the only thing I've really spent money on was my domain and hosting package... But I'd say I have about $500 to work with. It'd be a different story if I had some sales income but not much is happening yet because my website is so new...

Ok, so at the moment networks are kinda out of the picture for you (they usually require a couple of thousand to start with).

Your best bet would be to get a stand alone solution such as idevaffiliate and promote your program on affiliate forums (there are quite a few this can be done on) as well as directories.
You could even set up a 2 tier program and pay people to recruit affiliates for you.

I already have some affiliate software picked out, it looks pretty standard and it's compatible with my system (Joomla, Virtuemart) and costs about 65 euros.

Can you recommend any forums where I can post and not look like a flaming spammer?

People hate me because i'm an online pharmacy, i'm trying not to do all the spam crap but my competition is ruthless!

CPA advertisers? What is this and how do I get to them?

I can invest 20K + per week but I am looking to make huge sales I sell ED pills and other non control medicines. I have affiliate program I pay 25% to tier 1 and 10% to tier 2.

Now I am looking for alot of affiliates and good CPA network sites. please advice me.
