The most common pitfall for technical inclined entrepreneurs is thatthey tend to go and design, implement and launch a product or servicethat is useful ? in their world. When they actually release it andno one signs up, it is only then that they get that cold showerfeeling which can be really nasty. I've been there and I know what I am talking about.

This time I am willing not to do the same mistake so I am here for advice and even feedback on an idea that I have. I am currently working a very simple prototype which I am willing to show it to those who are interested (if any).

What will this new service do? (briefly)

One of the key factors in a successful product launch is momentum building. Those who have launched an online product or service knows that building momentum before launching, is vital. Wise entrepreneurs starts to gauge interest way before going to white board to design and implement a service. This will help avoiding building a service which nobody is interested in or which is not that easy to sell.

Currently I am working a service which aims to make product launching online a piece of cake. How?

    Offer early signup feature:

Gathering leads through a squeeze page is the most basic feature that this service will offer. The idea is to warm these interested leads to make them work for you.

    Queuing leads:

Signup leads will get a number (very similar to the cheese counter ticket). The ideas is to create a sense ?Wait for your turn buddy?,?Others are ahead and will try the service way before you?.

    Make them work hard:

Those early adopters will not just sit there and wait they will do something to cut the line and get a taste of your service. It is here where this service will shine. The service will instruct the early adopters to promote your soon to launch service in exchange of priority. Having a unique URL which they can share, leads can improve their queue position in exchange for sharing the service with their friends.

    More options:

This is only one idea of how to use such service. Being still in thevery early stages of inception, I am only looking at various optionson how to design and implement it. Another way how make leads workharder is to offer fixed number of FREE accounts. Leads will share your service with their friends in order to get a chance of having your service for free.

    Advice needed

Whilst I am able to fully design, implement and maintain this service, I require a lot of valuable advice from you members on howto:

    1. Is it something that you might be interested in?
    2. Will an affiliate program for such service interest you?
    3. Should I have my own affiliate program or should I go through aCPA network?

Your help is greatly appreciated! If there is anything unclear, please do ask me.

    Thanks

It's a great idea to package all those launch features into a standalone service. Quite similar really to what the team at robinhood.io did with their launch. I think it would work pretty well and is something I would be interested in.
As for your second question, if I was interested in promoting other people's products then I would be keen on something like this - depending on how well it is presented and executed.
And for the last questions I can't really say which way you should go. I would personally like to control as much of the operation as possible if I was a product owner so I would naturally want to build a bespoke affiliate offering. But you can't ignore the affiliate base that would already exist on other platforms.
