Hey all, this is my first thread here on BHW and unfortunately it will be one that asks for help. I'm 14 years old right now, living in Canada, and looking to try to create an income to help my parents out enough to help pay the taxes, cover the groceries, etc. I've done a little research and I've decided to go with the IM route. I know that making money online won't be a piece of cake and it will require some determination and hard work but I think I'm up for that (well hopefully I am).

The little "problem" I'm having right now is choosing a good, reputable affiliate network which either: allows people under the age 18 or does not require a phone call as apart of the application process (I have permission from my parents to sign-up under their info but they don't want to take the call). I understand that this is a criteria that narrows down a lot of the good affiliate networks out there, as most want adults working for them, but which ones are left that fit it? I'm pretty sure that Clickbank and CJ as possibilities but what else? I've heard so many stories of people getting "screwed" over by those two that I am hesitant to try to start promoting for them, although I'm sure the majority are people who use BH methods and seriously violate their TOS.

So, anyone care to lend a kid a hand?

    ~Thanks

now to fight spam you will most likely not be able to find a decent network that does not have phone verification!

you will have to use it!
just pick it up yourself and answer a few things and you will be done!

But as soon as I say "hello" they'll most likely know that I am a kid. :\ I guess I might just choose Adsense or ClickBank then.

I am 16 and I use clickbank and things are fine with me. The only problem I had with them is that in the terms and conditions you must get at least 5 sales with at least 3 different payment methods before you can get payed out.(numbers arent exact, but its something like that.)

I would say go with clickbank.
just choose a niche that can be easily dominated in google and has low competition.
btw: a niche is an area of interest... for example forex, weight loss, acai berry, make money online, are all examples of niches.
when looking for a product; look for something that will sell and has low competition.
need more help? just pm me

Thanks for replying. Would you happen to know if I should start up autoblogs or make actual sites that have somewhat real content? Which one would be better in the long run, and easier to make, etc? I'm guessing autoblogs are easier to create (but also have a chance of getting your adsense account banned), and websites usually bring in money for the long run? I want to be able to set up a site and expect it to bring in money for awhile, not a month and it just trickles away, making me have to create more blogs.

Thanks for replying! I think I know enough (or know where to find the info) to get started, I just wanted to be able to join an affiliate network and not get hassled by AM's and be able to stay with them for a long time. My question is what the 3 types of payment are? I bet that paypal and creditcard is one, what is the other? Moneybookers? Oh and thanks for the offer of help btw, I'll be sure to hit you up if I need any.

and the best way to get on the niche with out putting in much money is getting a .tk domain and then using scrapebox having content in it!

    and also try http://www.cj.com/
they are a great place as well

Hmm thanks for bringing up scrapebox. I looked at the landing page but it looks like it just gathers links. How do you get content from it? I'm guessing this is useful for autoblogs? I also think I might get started on Adsense type sites before I get into serious affiliate marketing , unless it's adding an affiliate here or there on my adsense sites to bring in more cash.
