Does anyone have any experience with creating an affiliate program for your site?
NOT promoting others, but rather others promoting your site!
Would love for some tips!

Do you have product or special content or something to promote ? if yes, its goldmine if you know what you are doing.

Use ads then, like adwords.

Just find something like hasoffers, put the link on your site and get your potential affiliates to signup and push your links.

I'm not sure what you are asking - do you want to create an affiliate platform yourself, or you are asking about affiliate platforms on which you can list your product as a seller? In the latter case, check out Clickbank, Software Projects or JVZoo.
In the former case, you need to hire programmers/web developers.

So what you're saying is you want to have your own affiliate program to get affiliates to promote your product/service, correct? That depends on if you want to piggy back off an existing network with affiliates already there, or if you want to create you own program/network/white label program. Others already mentioned some options with networks like Commission Junction. You can also try LinkShare, Pepperjam, etc. if you want a network already set up with affiliates. Others also mentioned HasOffers, which would be useful if you want a software provider to set you up with a customized affiliate program.

It's really up to you. Keep in mind there's other established networks and affiliate program software providers out there so you should do some research. Including affiliate networks that specialize by industry (e.g. health or nutra, adult, etc.). Maybe a few members can direct you to an industry-focused network for your biz model.
