    Hey Guys,

I have been doing research and I want to cash in on the ecommerce boom in India and get in on some affiliate action. I reckon that as Indians are getting more and more comfortable with online shopping, there is a lag for advertising towards Indians; i.e. since Indians traditionally didn't buy online, cpc ads towards are indians are dirt cheap. Before the CPC rates from advertising catches up, I reckon that there is an opportunity to drive huge cpc traffic towards a beauty blog. Anyone here have any tips on how to get started. I can put up a hostgator wordpress site and all that, but how do I select the right affiliate, the right content etc.

Any advice to help a newb out? Reckon this idea is crazy enough to work?

People are still not comfortable with buying a product online in India. That is the reason why CPC is low. The trend to buy products online is increasing but only from trusted websites, like Amazon, Flipkart etc. I would suggest promoting products from Amazon if you could and the blog should really be a professional one so it could convert well because only the well educated ones browse online products and seek reviews. A quality website and content would help build trust and in return would increase your conversion rate. I am not a pro myself but it is just 2 cents of my opinion. Good luck and keep us fellow Indians updated on it.

Right. I am trying to cash in on the e-commerce boom through becoming an amazon affiliate. However my current site is not a beauty blog but a click bait clone for Indians. Should I pivot to a niche straight away?

I don't really know how successful click bait clones are but I have seen niche sites being a great success if you put much work on it. I am myself thinking of starting my own niche site. Tell me if I could be of any help to you. Again, good luck ;)
