I have recently begun advertising my affiliates through youtube videos, generally ringtones for songs, but recently My popular songs have been getting flagged by SONY FOR COPYRIGHT infringement... I dont understand how even after giving credit to them in my description like everyone else does, they still take it down, is there another way to give credit to them? Please help, its really taking down my business haha :D

It might depend on what songs/videos you are posting and your method of posting.

I think the music video -> ringtone offer idea is kind of beaten into the ground so to get it to work you'll probably have to be constantly uploading a reasonably large volume of videos.

Youtube definitely works though, don't get hung up on just one idea/method.

Music is probably the hardest to spoof on Youtube. I've put up songs as music for a video and had them flag it, and that was after i burned the song to a cd then ripped it back to sync with the video. I've also tried music videos as well and they're going to pull just about anything you put up. also giving credit is a myth, yt couldn't care less and will drop the songs just as fast. what you should be doing is searching youtube for a how to beat their copyright. i'm not joking either i had found a program i can't recall the name that was suppposed to be able to strip copyright.

Ok, this thread is now about how to get around youtube copyright, I remember there was a way to copy an mp3 to audacity and change it's pitch, but now I cannot remember how to do it and the sticky is gone. Anyone have some protips? :)
