Normally we have: my-money-site.com/my-aff-link >> GOES TO >> site-like-amazon.com/end-target-page All good above but I see that Google actually indexes: my-money-site.com/end-target-page Huh?? I do a check and see: site:my-money-site.com ..... TITLE FROM END TARGET PAGE 1 my-money-site.com/my-aff-link-1 SNIPPET SHOWING END TARGET PAGE CONTENT TITLE FROM END TARGET PAGE 2 my-money-site.com/my-aff-link-2 SNIPPET SHOWING END TARGET PAGE CONTENT ..... Why is Google indexing these pages under my domain?!? If anyone has any ideas why this is happening, I would be glad to hear. I use the same aff link cloaking WP plugin Pretty Link and I select the use of 301 to redirect to the end target pages. Most of the time no issues at all, sites build the same way but I do have a few sites showing this. I fear this may have caused a duplicate content penalty as these sites were not ranking normally - before the penguin update. Is this an error made by Google? If yes, I guess I should simply stop using the plugin for a while, let the bot crawl some time, then reuse it hoping that this time Google will correctly NOT index the end target pages? Many thanks in advance!
