    Hey everyone,

I want to create some youtube affiliate videos and was wondering if putting an affiliate link in the description can get it banned. I was going to use a URL shortner to help hide it but am unsure if that would help.

You wont get banned :) It is suggested that u use bitly to shorten them since people click more on those then affiliate links

Use bit.ly to cloak your affiliate links, don't just post a straight affiliate link. Also try to add some content in the description and tags as well.

If it's clickbank, bitly and many url shorteners don't work anymore. Some work but who knows untill when?

I suggest you to buy a short domain and redirect each affiliate link with a subdomain, like this:

    productname.domain.info
