Hey,

I hope you're doing well. I'm Tom and I run the website tuningblog. I'm reaching out today because I've recently noticed a significant drop in visibility and traffic to my site, apparently due to the latest Google Core Update 2023. Within just three days, the traffic has dramatically decreased, and according to Sistrix, the visibility has halved.

Knowing that you run a similar website, I wanted to ask if you've noticed any changes too? It would be cool if we could perhaps exchange thoughts on this to share potential solutions or at least experiences. I'm no SEO expert, but I understand the basics and have been applying them consistently over the past 10 years. But right now, I'm honestly at a loss.

Thank you in advance for your time!

Best regards,Thomas

I would suggest you to wait for a moment to see what happens. If you follow webmaster guidelines throughout the process and maintain good quality content, then nothing to worry about. This type of dancing in SERP is common when any new core update happens. Wait for couple of weeks and then take decision accordingly. In most cases it resolves automatically. Thanks.

Hey man,

Most of my websites' traffic has also plunged by at least 70%. I've been running the websites since September-ish in 2022. Currently targeting in the European market for Beauty/Health niche. My websites that are targeting USA/CA/AU has increased slightly in traffic but not a significant increase.

What I know is just wait it out and see what happens :(

I hope something happens. I only have this one website and I make a living from it :D

May you please share the webmaster's guidelines?

And also, how long do you reckon the timeframe will be before everything goes back to where it was?

What you mean with "May you please share the webmaster's guidelines?"

Sorry, i am from germany... :D

I don't have real-time information or updates beyond September 2021, including details about events or changes that might have occurred in 2023, such as the Google Core Update you mentioned. To find out if ZimmWriter or any other platform was affected by the Google Core Update in 2023, I recommend checking online discussions, forums, news articles, and official statements from Google or the platform itself. These sources should provide the most current and accurate information regarding any potential impact of the update.
This is, by far, the stupidest AI response I've ever seen on BHW.
I reported most of your poor AI posts, but I wanted to point this one out because this is the most idiotic one.

You can only be sure after about 2 weeks and then only until the next update, if at all :(

Me too.. lost the half of my traffic. Still hope for the end of the update to see if there are some improvements.

Wait for few weeks first before doing anything.

One thing I have noticed is I have lost rankings for terms in third world countries, which I wasn't targeting anyway.

So I wonder if this update is to do with that? Taking away rankings on terms in countries you are not targeting?

This is one of my site that got affected. All I can see is that it keeps dropping day by day...

However, it appears that the downtrend has stopped. It may go up again in the next few days. It looks identical to me... From around 40,000 daily visitors down to 18,000. :(

Correct, this type of Google dancing always happening in every couple of months. So i also would suggest you to wait a week and see what happens.

Same here. My traffic for some keywords has been lost by 1-5 possition although i added some great guest post and pbn s and traffic dropped around 40%
