    Hi guys,

I'm trying to scale my campaign on the display network but not sure what I should do.. I've tweaked the campaign settings. This is how it looks like currently..

    Campaign settings
    General

    Campaign name
    CpDN2

    Type
Display Network only - All features

    Locations

    Targeted locations:
    Some_country (country)

    Excluded locations:

    Australia (country)
    India (country)
    Malaysia (country)
    Philippines (country)
    Vietnam (country)
    United States (country)

    Location options (advanced)

    Target
    People in my targeted location

    Exclude
People in, searching for, or viewing pages about my excluded location

    Bidding and budget

    Bid strategy
Focus on clicks, automatic bidding, CPC bid limit: 0.22
    Budget 1,000.00/day

    Delivery method (advanced)

    Delivery method

Standard: Show ads evenly over time
Accelerated delivery is unavailable for the selected bidding option.

    Ad rotation
Rotate indefinitely: Show lower performing ads more evenly with higher performing ads, and do not optimize

    Frequency capping
    No cap on impressions

    Social settings
Do not include the +1 button and the +1 annotations on my ads on the Display Network

    ========

The only thing I've changed from my previous settings were Bid strategy, Budget and Ad Rotation..
Question is: What would be the best settings to get more traffic?

p/s: I know I should also be adding more keywords but I would like to optimize the settings first..

    Thanks..

The basic setup looks pretty normal.
Do you currently run automatic or manual placements?
As you mentioned keywords I guess its automatic?
Did you add your keywords in broad match mode?
Do you currently get any traffic at all?
With targeting the mentioned countries you shouldn't have problems getting impressions and clicks except:
    1) you target a very obscure niche / keywords
    2) your bid is not high enough - depending on the niche 22cent might be not enough

Do you run text or banner ads? if you run banner ads you need to consider that they are more expensive than text ads because they have to beat the combined bids of the top 3 text ads.

Feel free to send me your adwords ID via PM and i will take a look for you.

Why not try expanding your campaign to other countries?

    Hey John,

I run manual placement with ''Target and bid'' on certan ad groups and ''Bid only'' on other ad groups..

Yup, its broad match.. I am getting traffic but its very little.. I currently run text ads..
I've tried increasing the bids but remains the same..

In fact, i got less traffic when i increased.. Its at 0.30 cents now..

As for niche, its an evergreen niche so obscure is out of the question actually..

Maybe, i'll try increase the bid further or do u have any other suggestions..

When you have manual placements then you do not need to add keywords. Get rid of the keywords and see what will happen traffic-wise. I also recommend you to use the default "target and bid" for all ad groups & placements in the beginning except you have a super good placement where you want to appear as often as possible, then you can go for "bid" only.

Your campaigns are not getting any traffic because of Ad rotation settings. You wanted to optimize the campaigns and you have selected an option "do not optimize" then how can you optimize the campaign and receive traffic?
    Well, change the settings.
On a very first note. You should select below setting:
Optimize for clicks: Show ads expected to provide more clicks
    Ideal setting for most advertisers.

Now, if you have more than 15 conversions then opt for below setting:
Optimize for conversions: Show ads expected to provide more conversions
Ideal setting if you use AdWords or Google Analytics conversion tracking

Once this is done, you will start receiving traffic.
PM me for any further information.
