Paid traffic from other sources? Of course not. Google Adwords is only ONE way of driving paid traffic to your website. They don't care if you use Yahoo or Bing or whatever...it's your website, they're just happy as long as you're using their service.

I'm not sure if you're confusing AdWords with AdSense... If you are only driving traffic to your website, Google could care less where else you're getting the traffic from. They can't see that. The only thing they can see is what you're paying for the traffic from then. You can buy a gazillion visitors from anywhere, and google won't care.

BUT, if you're running AdSense ads, meaning displaying ads from Google, then no, you can't buy traffic and hope for them to click the ads, that will probably get you banned very fast.

    Hope this clears things up.

Thanks, and yeah i meant adwords, i was told that paying for 1000s of hits to your website could cause problems and even result in google stopping your ad.

I don't think that google will impose any adverse effect on your site if you use traffic from outsources. They just don't care for that.

i don't quite understand your question, but in general it doesn't matter if you buy traffic....but i know the one thing google doesn't want you to do is buy text links on blogs.
