I set my max CPC to .40 but google adwords keeps bidding over $1 for some clicks? Why?
I forgot to add that my campaign is the only one for the selected words. How can the price go up or down when I have no competition?
I had this kind of problem. In my case I made a mistake with the "." at .40
make sure that it is a "." and not a "," .. understand?
Because your quality score is shit. If the score is properly shocking, don't be suprised to see the $5/$10 bids soon.
Is your max bid entered properly in the right currency? Does it apply to search and the content network?
As for the quality score it will affect the price you have to pay but it cannot alter your max bid
Yep, gonna have to agree with this one, raise your quality score to avoid the Google slap!
I have grant adwords accounts and if there are anyone who is interested in please write me in skpe: non-profitsacc

I want to set up Adwords campaign to get the more click in the lowest time period as much as faster I need lots of visitors on my landing page very frequently like back to back visitor. what type of ads copy (display ads) can I use or which type of keywords can I use to get instant traffic because my goal is to get clicks or visitors on my landing page no matter sales or conversion etc I want only click/visitor when I will play the campaign.
my landing page is a shopping site but I can use any site to get visitor or clicks.
Grave digging a 2009 thread isn't the way to go.
