I run a taxi company. All my business comes from 3 places - referrals, google SERP, and mostly google LOCAL and adwords.

My website of course ranks number one for its name. But only 5,6, and 7th for keywords in the SERPs that I think most people use to search for a taxi.
This is fine when people are looking around and shopping but higher would be better.
With LOCAL though I am only ranked 4 or 5th depending on how the wind blows, and sometimes 9th or 10th for an hour or two.

Problem is when people really want a taxi, they search and click the first one on the list to call. Thats why I heavily do adwords to the tune of at least $20 a day. I need to be one or two in the local list so I can cut back on the adwords and still be visible on phones in the first couple of lines.

Ive tried a few things. But Im pretty stable. Back links dont seem to get listed by google very easily for taxis. The top listings have 20 or 30 each. google says I have a hand full at most, other sites say I have 300.

Whats my best approach to getting a better local score so I can cut the adwords?

Oh when you search for a taxi, what do YOU google?

I rank #1 for a local search term. They kewords and anchor that you should be blasting to your homepage should be:

    yourcitytaxi
    taxiyourcity

Make sure your onsite SEO is on as well
Buy some good packeages from the BST section on here.

    Good Luck!

I would keep adding your latest Taxi News to your site which will attract more visitors to your website - while at the same time new content will help your SEO and SE Indexing.

The analogy should be more traffic = more business = less adwords:)

Yep i use those keywords but with spaces and sometimes my whole company name. I jave followed maps cash and another local program. Thats how i got where im at. Plus o have bought social bookmarks and a few fiver backlink deals for profile links and blog comments. In Jan i bought the seo for 3.10 a month from a post here.
Ill be adding pages to talk about my city, and whatever else i can think of.
some things i see hete im not sure will work though since they seem like they are traffic funels designed to eventually get people to my website. i cat see that working. If someone wants a taxi and finds an article with a link in it they most likly wont read anything and go to the next link that takes them to a taxi site.
What exactly should i be "blasting" to my homepage that contains my keywords?

Yes add that sort of new content as it is all original and moreover it is about your business - treat your website the same as your Taxi - when you keep checking the Oil - Website - Keep topping up your content!

The Taxi will not run without Oil

    and

The Website will not run without regular New Content

Do you have a mobile site with a click to call button? For a taxi service it is essential.

I'd suggest that you pick your top 3 keywords and buy the 800 post service aimed to your homepage. Or you could go with another service that offers high pr blog posts. For $25 bucks you really have very little to lose with something like this.

Another one that's very promising is this new thread by apekillape. I'd do top 3 keywords again, but no matter which size get the 15,000 sb blast with it to give your wikis some juice.

    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...arting-10-1-000-every-order-gets-fortune.html

Other than that you've already found a great site, keep reading and trying things and you'll be #1. It's just a matter of time.

This is a simple fix: Spend some real money on backlinks. You drop $20/day on adwords but only do a few fiverr gigs for crappy quality links? Spend $100 on some high PR blog posts and you'll be top 3 in short order.

Ya buy some good backlink services here to get into top 3. Not some fiverr crap.
