Advice on whether to use my longtails in articles/web 2.0s or on my site?

I was just about to write some more web 2.0's using a list of longtail keywords I have from my niche but then I got to thinking why don't I just put them on my site instead.

I guess my question is whether it is advantageous to use keyword specialized articles for article submissions/web 2.0s. I know not your best keywords but I was thinking of targeting some of these long tailers then thoguht maybe it would be better to just put that on my main site.

So thoughts on that?

I.e should I just use general related content for other tiers in the pyramid rather than kw targeted?

So now I am thinking make articles of all of the lists of keywords on my main site, have my top kws stickied at the front page then internal link to the long tailers. Then spin the content of each of these for other tiers for web 2.0's, spin again for article directories then blast away at them. Sound ok?
