Advice on my blog

I just made a blog mainly to see if I could do it. I wanted to teach myself some things and also to mess around with different click bank stuff. I decided that I would save the niche blog for my second one, but thought that I could possibly get some interest if it was just a general blog that would hit a larger group of people. I mixed in just the general interest articles with sneaking in the ads so that someone reading it wouldn't click off because they thought it was all just ads.

I'd love advice and comments. You don't have to be gentle. Even though I'm new...and a girl...I can take it like a man. (That sounds a bit dirty doesn't it?) lol

The site looks fine and your content seems informational.

I worry that you'll lose some traffic with the "adult content" notification that appears when people try to visit. If there's not adult content (which I didn't come across) you might want to test without vs. with the notification - could be that the notification makes people look through more of your posts - I know I did.

I think the whole point of a blog would be to drive really well targetted traffic to your products through search. But, if you get a lot of readers it doesn't really matter, and it seems like you're pretty much in the make money niche. :D
 
Thanks guys! I will take the adult warning off. I just didn't want anyone to get all weird about having not TOTALLY "G" rated stuff on it. I appreciate your input very much! ;)
 
hey virtualv I think you should use a different template their are a ton of templates available for blogspot just google it. You should use some ppc adds on this maybe some inline adds.

Can you let me know what you feel is wrong with the template and how that might affect readers? I'm curious why you don't like the template I used. Also, I'm not with blogspot but blogger..

I'm pretty sure blogspot is blogger :D
Blogger is the site you register the blog on and
blogspot is usually the domain your subdomain is on.

I think your content is very catchy but your template makes it look a little dull.I personally feel that your template is the first thing that a visitor sees when he/she comes to your site and an attractive template would make the visitor interested in reading the contents of the site.

hey ! that's just something I would do but you can keep the same template. :rolleyes:
