I'm looking to switch from posting reuploaded anime clips into a meme compilation channel. That channel has over 45k subs and has received over 35 million views as of now. The channel is steadily growing and a recent video has gotten on the recommended. I got a strike not too long ago and i'm tired of dealing with the stress of getting my channel terminated. I figured a meme compilation would be safer since I would not include content that's owned by a studio/corporation since it's mostly user created content off social media.
The big reason behind this change is I also want to monetize that channel through copyright claim method but it seems risky to do so with reuploaded anime clips because people have been receiving letters from their distributor threatening legal action for doing a similar thing (check out this thread: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/can-copyclaiming-get-you-terminated.1184678/post-13585142)
My audience and subscribers are really young, most are under 18 so I think a change into a meme compilation channel wouldn't be too far off from their interests? If I can retain at least 50% of my subscribers it would be a huge win. Is there anything else I should be aware of before doing this?
