Hi guys, I used to run my own free niche dating site but got tired of the maintenance and constant barrage of emails. The script was also limited and I was too busy working on other projects to put the work in on this site. So I decided a few months ago to take down the site and convert to an affiliate site. The single focus for the website now is to drive visitors to sign up at a dating affiliate site. I get paid for each sign up - around $4. If they become full members I get paid over $100. I have zero admin to do and can just focus on getting more sales. Originally I had a fairly complex website up but used the Register button as my push to get affiliates. When they tried to register on my site thinking it was to join my dating site they would be pushed to my affiliate. This strategy worked but I was sure I could improve conversions. So....I have now stripped my site down to a Bare Bones HTML page removing all the clutter and simply having a Single Button ( Call to Action ) visible that I want visitors to push to reach the Affiliate Sign Up Page. No other side bars or menu's now exist. I did this so the user would not be distracted and click elsewhere. I am testing this as we speak and have noticed an increase in sign ups. Only problem is my site looks fairly basic now. I am still not sure if this is the best strategy.. What I want to ask you guys is what design do you prefer for your Affiliate Website if you are just pushing for Dating Sign Ups. I dont want members to hang around, I just want sign ups and to rinse and repeat. Do you create a full on website or implement a basic landing page like I have or would you just use the landing page for Adwords Campaigns and make a full on blog as the main site with blog articles pushing the sign up. I know google loves wordpress. Im curious as to what strategies people prefer for their affiliate sales website.
