Hey guys,

I took a long break away from CB until last night i got the urge to promote a product, social, article and few other ways and today I had 27hops, 1 sale which was pretty good. The item itself costs $100 and I was due to receive 65% comm. When I logged in I found 9$ registered for the sale, I checked my hop, the product is definitely 100$ and comm. is definitely as stated.

Has this happened to anyone or does anyone know a way to resolve it? I plan on emailing the publisher later explaining what happened.

Thx for any help

Since publishers can have multiple product IDs that all can have different prices, check the product ID that you received commission for. They could offer a cheaper product on their sales page if someone decides to exit the page..

This publisher is only a few months old and has a very, very low gravity. However there is only one pay page and that's for 100$. They are planning on offering more services but the pages aren't fully available to the public. I have decided to e-mail the publisher directly to see what they say.

Cheers 4 the help

Clickbank rarely if ever fails to track properly. What i'm saying is, check your reports and look under the ITEM column. It will have a #. Then visit that # to see the price..

Example: ITEM# 7
Publisher ID: whatever

http://7.whatever.pay.clickbank.net

Item - #1 How do I visit that number though, I only see one product when I type the publishers name in anyway.

I cannot open that link btw, thanks for the help though. I emailed them asking if they can explain what happened.

Cheers

Update

I am working on some software upgrades and debuggings and was about to launch the next version in a few months, so I lowered the commission rates to 10% a few months back after I ran a trial run with 65% commission.

I'll raise the commissions upto 40% when I relaunch the upgraded version of the product and would be happy to have you on my side.

In the mean time our coding team is busy working on the upgrades.

About your commissions, well the rates are 10% since the last 2 months or so. I think you must have seen the expired commission rates somewhere. But as they say "Never be rude to your affiliates", I'll be more than glad to transfer you your share.

Please make sure you understand that right now(since last 2 months approximately) the rates are 10% and will go upto 40% once the next version of the product is ready.

I'll make sure to contact you when the next version is ready. In the mean while I'm ready to transfer whatever your share is, as long as the customer doesn't ask for a refund.

Thanks

Reply I received from the publisher himself.

I've had this issue due to a merchant's adjustment of the price, which is annoying as hell but somewhat of a reality on CB. But lowering the commission to 10% on a digital download unannounced? Pretty bad form.

I'd take him up on his/her offer to give you the published commission. Maybe he'll learn a good lesson in affiliate relations and you might become one of his top affiliates as a result. Who knows?

Best of luck with this.

Wow that's pretty lame of them to do. I wouldn't waste my time promoting is crap and find a similar offer to run.

In the e-mail it sounds like he's going to sort me out with the cash, so long as the buyer doesn't request a refund, but I won't be promoting a 100$ product to make 10$ per sale. I literally got bored and type up an article, submitted it around a few social sites and other, and made one sale which was pretty cool, 60$ wouldn't of been bad for 40mins work.

Do you think I should just wait to see what he says next or is there anything I can do really?

Thx
