This is exactly what I'm doing now. Have a couple of small local SEO clients, but I've an idea I want to get running that I'm certain will make big bucks - but I've had so much of my time taken up by mainly the guy in my post above that I could never get enough time to put it together.

I've taken 2 weeks out and am now going to set it all up and use my own talents for my own benefit.

SEO clients are generally just not worth it.

You're an employee, not an agency. Sure you can ask for a raise but you will be reminded that you're there to do your job for the salary you accepted.

That is true but my boss specifically said " If you prove to be a difference for us by doing SEO, you can make much more money than you are now." which is why I am here asking based on these results do you guys think I have a chance to actually show Him that I am making a difference. **I guess like some of you said , I NEED to work on my confidence...writing this made me realize that on a much bigger scale.

I compared the previous 4 DAYS of june to the first 7 DAYS of MAY we surpassed the 7 days of may by 15% already.

It sounds like its open to discussion with your boss. Call a little meeting for a progress report type deal showing the before and afters. Make it clear that you're showing unprecedented results. Then start building a roadmap to make you both some cash. Ask for a bump in pay now based on current results, then set some clear obtainable goals for the future in this meeting. Get him involved in the discussion. Then you can come back to him in the future when you smash those goals and discuss another bump.

If you are really getting paid too low then yes go for it, else 2 months regardless of the results is not enough to ask for raise.

Interesting question, but there is no easy answer to it. I think that it depends on personal circumstances and if you are really so good in your SEO work. Three months is not long period, you can try, but remember that your employer can always switch you to another worker if you are asking too much

updates : before I even had the chance to ask my boss for the raise he gave me a $1 raise. which to me is not enough so i explained to him to that I think I deserve more because I am on track on even surpassing last month's results. So at the end of the month I will ask him for more money if it says on track like that!!!...thank you BHW! family!

Definitely worth a raise or ask them to do it on their own:alien:. Talk boldly and give it a shot if you feel you're underpaid, though you've read ample suggestions.
