I’m starting a content writing agency. I’m debating whether to just have a site where people come to, give details, and order a # of words.

or charge a monthly recurring service where we do all the work, SEO keyword research, content planning, and figure how many words you need per month based on competition, etc.

The recurring service would have us working with less clients, but higher ticket. Anyone that could give some advice?

Why not both, easier transition from buying 2-3 articles to gain trust to signup for monthly packages maybe.

Would you think that would be ideal? I’d build a funnel to target traffic to. I feel like I wouldn’t want to give both options, but I don’t know why. Maybe I’ll check out other agencies and see what they do

There's nothing wrong with selling complementary services in a single funnel. You'll actually sell more giving these two options in this situation.

You can position the monthly subscription as the top sell, and use the one-time packages as a trust-builder, or extra-mile to boost their subscription.

I'd suggest the first, # of words.
I usually pay my scripwriters between $12-15 per script being 1850+- words.

Not sure where you're based though so idk if thats enough $$ for you.

The replies are bang on, don't limit yourself to any single service, cast the net wide and then decide which works best for you once you get built up.

Start a journey or something if you're up to it.
Are you planning on writing content in general or be in a specific niche?
I'm planning on doing a niche specific content writing agency, I've hit some $ on Fiverr with my niche and i believe it has the potential. Anyhow, I would like to hear experiences from people who are doing similar things.
