Hey BHW,
I just want to advise you guys not to partner with anyone assigning you a job to list their items on eBay for them.
Here's what they want:
- Good eBay account w/ positive feedback.
- You list their item and pay the $1 fee or whatever that eBay charges.
- Once sold, they "ship the item", and then ask for you to pay them.

Thing is, what if they sent an empty box? What if they didn't send at all?
You're going to pay them however much they want and then get a bad feedback and have to refund.
Example: Person wants you to list item on eBay. They say to sell the item for $250, and it sounds legit to you. So you go ahead and list the item and pay the fee. [-$1]. They tell you once it's sold, keep $50, they get the rest. So the item sells. Person sends the "item" (Empty box) and ask you to pay them $200 out of the $250. But they say, just pay me $180 so that it feels more legit. So you go ahead and send the $180 and think you made $70.
But then the buyer says it was just an empty box. They contact PayPal and you need to refund the full $180. But you only have $70. Now you owe money. [-$250 for you] [+$180 for Person]

Don't fall for this. I already lost my $1 from eBay fees, I deleted the listing so I don't lose $250.

can't we file a complain to the guy we sent the $200 for item not received ?
like that if we got back the money, we can refund the buyer on ebay no ?

what made you change your mind as you already put the item on ebay ?
i am asking because i am in the same situation

Are you talking about sizzorkay?

I was about to play this game, but then I thought about possible refund lol.

Exact same guy I was about to do with.
Then I though, why the hell wouldn't he sell it himself?

I did this before with success the only difference is you have to get who ever you are JV'ing with to agree to take payment only after positive feedback or refund period is over.

So you post the item (-$1.00), the item sells (+$250) and your JV partner ships the item.

Then you wait for a positive response from the buyer. ONLY at that point do you send money to the seller.

Remember they need you more then you need them. It's either on your terms or nothing. A good ebay account with 100% positive feedback is like Gold. So if they don't agree to this then don't do it.

The right partner could make you a lot of money for doing nothing, and when you are selling the same items then it's really nothing, over and over again. cha-ching.

Good Luck

you are gonna send the $200 to the guy for him to ship the item
if finally the buyer says empty box and asks for refund, you can also fill a complain for the $200 you sent ..saying u didn't receive the item (there is no item in reality) ...sorry maybe i am explaining myself correctly

What are you saying? I don't understand.

no, there's no protection for sent money. You can't get money back if it's outside of ebay.

Seems legit, but why on earth wouldn't a seller just use his own account instead of paying $50 or so just so someone else can do it?

Hmm, I'm not sure about that. Maybe PayPal won't allow you to get a refund because the Person might defend himself with lies.
