Just wondering if it's necessary to nofollow and/or cloak amazon links? I don't do either and I'm making money but I wonder if there's room for improvement.

I'm asking because I was looking at a plugin called "EasyAzon" and it offers these options as default.

    Thoughts?

I would say the most accepted practice to cloak the links...HOWEVER it breaks Amazon's TOS. And if they catch you, expect to lose all of your affiliate commissions for the month and the previous 60 days that are unpaid. Although we didn't think we were doing anything wrong, Amazon contacted us to let us know that we were deceiving visitors with our links, even though they were anchored with something like "Go to Amazon"

You have to be careful if you are going to cloak amazon links since it is against their TOS. Nofollowing the links is fine if you want to.

I'll stick with nofollowing. Holy smokes jacob! I can't be losing 60 days pay!

    Thanks!
