    Hi all,

    I just got a TF 54 backlink for free ( I commented a blog post on homepage - don't ask me where ^^ ).

Majestic shows the backlink in my website profile. I went from TF 8 to TF 27 !

Yet even though I can see the backlink in the SERP, meaning google crawled the page already ( i put the backlink 3 days ago ), my website didn't jump that much in the SERP and google search console doesn't show the backlink at the moment. Actually GSC show very little amount of backlinks ( 20 diff domains VS 60 diff domains for majestic ).

What do you think, is the backlink effectively taken into account in google SERP ? Even though GSC doesnt display it ?

If Google takes into account the backlink, I assume even though it is TF 54, I guess since its only a blog comment ( branded anchor ) it accounts for the little juice I got from right ?

Thanks a lot for your help!

    Paul

GSC never shows all backlinks and is often delayed, far from realtime, more like updated twice a month.

As far as the ranking is concerned: Give it a few days, although I think this will will do nothing, even if do-follow, since Google can easily distinguish a real editorial links from comments. TF is a third party metric that says zero about rankings. Sorry, but that's the way to cookie crumbles.

Just because Majestic gives a high trust value to a page does not mean Google would give you a rank boost for the same. And getting a boost from a single backlink may not be practical. Get many and allow time for Google to re-evaluate your page rankings.

Thanks guy, I understand better now.

I want from pos ~30 ~20 +/- just with this link.

Indeed i'm not surprised google can distinguish its only a comment ( its do-follow ). Glad to learn also about GSC uncomplete backlinks profile.

    Thanks!

GSC is always delayed, however one backlink is not going to create a huge difference. Get couple more of the same quality and you should see things moving, nevertheless even one backlink should create some flutter, but wait for at least 10 days.

You can't expect better SERP results with a single blog comment, especially on top pages. But, you will get some link juice for sure, Keep building more quality links in order achieve the desired position.

Indeed I had around 15 TF ~ 20 ******** blog comments on the road and today I'm on page 1 !! rank 8/9

I guess the TF54 brought juice as well but in total difficult to measure from where did the juice came...

I guess PBN blog posts, even on lower TF ( like 15 ) would be better since it would be contextual links rather than just blog comments.

Thanks all, i learnt thanks to you ...

Hi, yes I think it's because the backlink type is blog comment, this kind of link just don't work well anymore.
