No, it's not the same.
SEO for adult sites is very different from traditional SEO...
a) Most people will delete your links
b) Most filters strip links with adult keywords mentioned
c) Adult web masters aren't known for allowing you to piggyback off them ... aka. it's hard to find high PR adult sites to "spam" with your links.
1. Using creative ways to "keyword stuff" such as using jquery to hide text blocks, or at least have the text on the page, but the user has to click to open the text box... in other words, it's technically on your site, but no one will actually click it.
2. Blogging adult themed content relevant to your niche and using CSL (cross-site-linking) aka. linking from within your blog posts to relevant topic level pages.
3. Optimize the $hit outa your on site stuff.
--> keyword tags on videos (clickable links)
--> good video descriptions (can be outsourced, and done over time)
--> High volume of content
--> Optimize your site for speed; CDN, file compression, code compression, all that stuff.
--> use services like
www.distil.it to prevent other scraper sites from stealing ur $hit and devaluing your site.
4. Link building
--> Most adult SEOs rely on aggressive spam tactics simply because it's a b!tch to get links from legit places.
--> use services like
www.tynt.com so it's easier for your userbase to share your content
and maybe even get you some free backlinks!
--> Although you might need to resort to spam / BH tactics, do it tastefully (as in think smart)
--> Try to use PR filtering in software like GSA Search Engine Ranker to get you good quality comments with low OBL
--> Spend the $ on captchas, many people rely just on captchas and don't check any further than that so it might cost you a few bucks, but you'll end up getting some good links out of it. You can use software like GSA Code Breaker & Captcha Sniper to cut costs if you decide to use heavy spam tactics.
--> Optionally, you can try to keep things a bit more "white hat" and build your own adult high PR network or partner up with other adult webmasters and share or buy links from each other.
PS: There are so few legitimate places, like web 2.0, article directories all that kinda stuff that allow adult, don't count on trying to play it white hat. Technologically speaking, idk if you could realistically compete in any decent niche without at least going GH to BH tactics. There is just such a small pool to go from. Also, since everyone else is spamming it's a rare niche where quantity often wins over quality as the industry standard.
