    Hello,
I've added adsense to a site for the first time in ages, but the ads don't match the topic of the site at all.

In fact I've noticed this a lot on other sites - it's like they use retargeting now rather than displaying ads relevant to the topic of whatever site I'm visiting.

Last time I used adsense on a site all of the ads were totally laser focused on the topic of the site - which makes perfect sense.

But now they are about anything - just looked on a health advice website and their ads are for email servers and other stuff that I've looked at recently.

Is there any way to stop this and just make the ads about the topic of the site?

If someone is looking for an accountant for example, better they see ads from accountants on my website, rather than dog baskets or whatever they looked at a few hours or days ago.

The ads you see aren't the same your customers see. Google tracks them around the WWW and also tracks their clicks. If they're interested in something related to A, they'll see ads for A no matter what your site is about.

The contextual ads are overridden by the user tracking data right now as far as I can tell.
