Can anybody quickly confirm that any of the standard adsense plugins work with WP3.01 ??

I've setup a test blog today, and thought I'd throw some ads at it, but no matter which plugin I use I don't get any ads, I've even tried replacing the stored ads, with gibberish, so that I can find it, when it's displayed. But still no luck.

In the past with WP2.xx I've more or less put the plug-in in added my account details and fired it off, can't figure out what's different now.

    Anybody any ideas?

It would appear that the ads work correctly for posts that are generated by hand, but not for ones generated using syndication with FeedWordPress.

Anybody any ideas on solving this?

It will work with any theme you like...its not bound - Personally I use a variety of Elegant Themes.

The ads via EasyAdsense should show up on all pages you have it set to run on. There is not very many settings, but you will need to configure them.

I haven't tried the widgets, but the ones for between posts only work when I type a post in they do not work for posts generated by feedwordpress, just gone back to all in one adsense and found exactly the same result. So now I've found out what the problem is atleast.

Easy adsense is sleazy. Try a different adsense plugin. They're all pretty standard as far as working with different WP versions, just some of them (like easy) are coded so they make it very easy for you the unsuspecting user to end up with the plugin author's publisher ID in your site.

Or insert the code yourself - a widget, or embedded in a part of your template. It's not that hard.

The problem appears to be feedwordpress which is in some way block the ads. Shame really because it's the only decent rss poster I have found so far.

For anybody else that comes accross the problem removing the references to syndication for the relevant post in the wp_postmeta table solves the problem. I'm sure it will have other implications but for the time being it's a work around.

I also use All in one adsense, but it doesn't work for me with feedwordpress unless I have the database, I wonder if it's something to do with the feed I'm using.
