For months now neither adsense nor analytics have showed the correct number of visitors or views to my sites. By tracking awstats as well as bitly clicks I know that I'm getting far more visits. So far I've ran tests on 4 sites, all of which show screwy stats.

Say, for example, if awstats shows 1k visitors with 5k page views, adsense will show about 20 views, even though I have 2 adsense spots on every page of the site. And analytics will show about 120 visitors. I have set up bitly links and tweeted them with over 600-700 clicks a day and analytics will still show under 200 visits.

I've never really cared, and figured it was something to do with java...but now that I've installed it on multiple sites with the same effect I'm starting to wonder whats going on. Are my ads displaying? I plan to sell a site of mine on Flippa next month and without good anaylitics and adsense stats it's going to go for pennies on the dollar, those people at flippa live on analytics!

If it matters the sites are wordpress blogs, one is running a plugin to include the ads, but the others have the ads coded right into the theme, which on one is bluesense, so I know it's 100% compatible.

Anyone else having a problem with analytics or adsense stats? I need to fix this if possible before I go on Flippa.

Yep. It's at the top of every page, you can even go to the site and view the source and it's right there. it's the correct UL # and I am showing visits in analytics, so I know that it is working. I just can't get it to show the right amount of visits, assuming awstats is correct.

Right now G Analytics shows 199 visits with 395 pageviews for the month of June. Awstats shows 4,300 visits with 23,083 pageviews for the month of June. That's a BIG difference.
