Hey guys, This is more of a question rather than a statement. I thought I'd bring up a couple reasons floating through my mind that I think it might be better to make the profiles of banned members visible, as they were pre-update. Before the update, whenever I saw a banned member with a high post count, I always liked to view their profile and final posts to figure out what stupid thing they were doing that got them banned. It's mainly because I find it hard to "juggle" and keep in mind all the rules of BHW at one time, so I looked at banned members quite often to constantly refresh my memory. I'm probably peculiar like that, so I don't think that's necessarily a good reason universally to bring back access to banned members profiles. I think there are others, though. For instance, people who remember that "some person 'x' said some important thing" won't be able to track down the information they're looking for because the member has been banned. Along with this, anybody bringing false allegations against the mods for banning people breaking the rules can be directed right to the thread/scam report/notification that they were banned. Along with that, it's interesting. Even if there are others who like to simply snoop around in other's people's business (as is a tendency for many) and see why long-standing members got banned, don't you think they should be able to do so? I'd even encourage it, because looking into why long-standing members get banned indirectly and subconsciously reinforces the rules of forums into them, which makes them think twice before they act like an asshat to anyone. Just food for thought, that's all. I'm sure you guys know 10 times more than me about this stuff. Thought I'd contribute anything I could after the post-update transition went rocky in a bunch of different areas. What are your thoughts? Anybody reading is welcome to chime in.
