I am very interested in a certain style of cars, and plan to make a blog on it. Especially Japanese cars that are "slammed" or super low. Do you think I would have success with this? Most of the posts would be image posts though, so I'm not sure how it would work since I'm pretty new to Blogs and WP.

Google Adsense not suite for Automobile niche 2014 Q1. You can get low impression and RPM too. So, That's useless. You can go: health/beauty related, Games related, Entertainment related.

If you are keen to make the site and feel you can put out somethin unique then go for it. You have a much better chance of running a successful site for something you are interested in than something thats just a random keyword.

I would get a quality site built first before I worried about earning from it. You can make adsense work fine on car sites but if you are just going to be pinning images up then it wont work.

Metal425, as you can see for yourself that site already is monetized with Adsense. I doubt that it's making a lot of money, though. Besides, Adsense doesn't like sites that are all about pictures and no text content. The owner of that site might get his/her Adsense banned with that website.

Interesting site. What he has there is a four year old site and he appears to be the original owner of the phographs. I wouldnt think it would be possible to replicate this if you were just re using content.

Shirtstuckedin is a good example of how to do it. He clearly is part of the niche, travels to see rallies etc.

There is always scope to monetise a good niche intrest blog. As soon as you develop a following particularly if like that guy you travel.

Try and think about it from the perspective of the user, he wants to see photos and write ups of his car(it validates him) he also wants to see others to compare and get ideas. He then needs to get the best deal on the kit to make his car better. Be it stereos custom speaker builds, body kits and part upgrades it's an affiliate gold mine. But you have to do it right, these guys are almost cultish in their approach.

Where is the Adsense on that site? I don't see anything, lol.

Thing is, I have a LOT of original photography I will be adding to my blog if I launch it. I frequently take original photographs at many car meets.

If you have high quality photographs then that will work. However the guy that runs that shirtstuckedin site is a photographer and he is using the site as a portfolio.....hes not actually actively monetising it. I would imagine he is pulling in enough money off adsense to cover his hosting but he probably gets job offers for car magazines based on his photography.

You will have a much better chance of making money if you add content to your site.

you have to try, there are many ppl who like cars out there.

Put up affiliate ads for merchandise. Like jdm items and stuff.
Maybe even affiliate to car parts. Since it's a slammed car site, emphasize on springs/coilovers

Shit, I guess I'll try it out. I mean, I'm not looking to make a killing off this blog. It's not the reason I'm even starting it, but it would be nice if I could make some extra cash for sharing my passion.
