I am trying to add just text to visual basics 2010 but I cant get it where theres no box around it. I have looked everywhere. I am using the RichTextBox but it leaves the box. I need to add some wording with a link. I tried to add the transparency but it says,

Control does not support transparent background colors.

Can anyone help me out with this?

I am not sure if I understood your question correctly, If you don't want it editable just use 'label'..

Use 'Linklabel' control and you should handle the click event to open the link in the browser.
