Is it possible for me to have the English content rewritten in a number of languages and have the same domain have all the languages present to cater for all languages?

I have seen domains in the past which has flags at the top of the screen where you can switch the language.

I just want to add that my domain is a wordpress site.

Yeah i am aware of google translate.

But what i am thinking is if i have different languages published myself i will start ranking on things like google Spain and Germany?

Is this a good idea or am i miles away?

Wordpress has such a feature, and you can add a multilanguage switcher to your site. It is way better to use this feature instead of enabling the google translate in terms of translation quality as well as the overall image and attractivity. So if there are resources to get a translation done - surely go for it!

Guess so, why should not it? Spanish people would rather see spanish search results and your website is ready to offer what they are looking - in their native language.

if it translates on the fly..i don't see how'd you rank in other countries.
You would literally have to have pages posted on your site in other languages.

I was thinking of creating subdomains and have the entire site in a different language in each subdomain
