I have been busy for the last several months, and have not had time to work on my site. Yesterday, I checked my site and it was ranking well for several keywords and hundreds of long chain keywords.

I decided it was time to add some more content so I added around 30 2,000 word articles. These were written by me and not spun. I did not think it would matter to google how many articles you posted at one time as long as it was original.

Anyway, today I checked and my site has completely disappeared from Google for all the keywords it was ranking for the day before! Any ideas on this? Also, I did add two extra adsense ad on my site. I am still under what google allows though.

    I appreciate any input

That 30 x 2,000 articles gaved huge power to your site so you might expect higher rankings in a couple of days. Be patient.

Perhaps you added too many too fast and you're dancing? I suggest slowly posting that much material over an extended period of time (say 4 weeks) so everything looks as natural and organic as possible mate.

And if you website doesn't come to the rankings in near future, then you know google banned you, which is totally unfair

Thanks for all the input guys. I know its not the best idea to post so much new content at once, but work and personal life has been hectic. I was hoping since it was original it would not hurt me (maybe it did not).

I'll keep checking on it the next several days and if anything changes, I will update here. Thanks again for the fast responses.

If you are using Wordpress you can schedule them buddy, so they ate not posted all in the same time, you can schedule them for example 2 posts per day :)
    Cheers

its only a dance m8 don't worry about it, with all that fresh content its only obvious that google was going to dance.
i do the same with all my websites, i load them with like 20.000 words and set them free and they dance for a week or 2 then settle.
but whatever you do make sure the media in your posts is legal.

This would be quite funny if the site doesn't regain rankings. Would go to show that if you follow Google's SEO best practices, you will fail.

Just hang in there and keep posting. But don't post lots of posts at the same time because that is semi-dodgy.

There's an Australian website creator type person who suffered Google Sandbox in the earlier stages of his career. He just kept on posting about the topic as normal and Google put him back in his position. Sometimes it's just a test. ;)

Lameo - is just a dance. You can buy some Mixed Social Signals off here or Fiverr to speed up the process a bit.

Like others said its most likely a dance, but honestly I would have slowly posted them and not do it all at once. I would have added maybe 1 new article every 2-5 days randomly.

I agree you are in the dance. G has to recalculate where your website goes because now things are different (30x2,000 different). Relax mate.

Im sure when the spider bots crawled your site you stirred up the shit. Are you using gwt, if yes check to see the crawling activity, I'm sure it spiked. I'm not a expert on the crawling stuff, but I do know you get a crawling allowance, the white hat crowd is big into "maximizing and being efficient with your crawling allowance" Try making a circle of good web 2.0's with content curation of some of the articles you posted, pointing back to your main site. It can't hurt, and use google friendly sites.

If your website is on wordpress then you could have just scheduled the articles to publish one by one instead of publishing all of them at once.

On my site I post a new 200-300 word article a day, some terms on my site go from first page to third page, then slowly climb back up...

I think it may have to do with they style of the site (my site is on wordpress, and I notice that when a post is booted off the first page (home page) and onto page 2 its rankings drop like crazy, then it slowly builds up again.

Also I forgot to add, the day of and after posting all the content, the google spider traffic was crazy so maybe I did screw with my crawling allowance as well.
