Add Rep from Private Messages

Often times some users help me out or give me some valuable advice/tips on something I ask them for.

I don't want to go to a thread of theirs to give them their deserved rep. I want to be able to rep straight from the PM section, where I reply to them.
If this can't already be done (can't seem to find it), then that is my suggestion. Cheers :)

This is actually a good suggestion.
Some members write big fat helpful replies on Private Messages.
We have some really awesome members on BHW.

I reply to everyone who PM me for help :D lol j/k
 
According to me, Rep is when you get to share things with the community. Private coaching classes are to be paid separately in Cash, not rep :p
 
A more plausibile solution is to disable duplicate rep. Just make it 1 user/1 rep point for lifetime or for 1 year and we will get rid of the huge rep numbers.
 
I guess if bhw will implement this function in the forum then people will exchange rep in PM. So This should not be done.
 
A good suggestion but another problem will be how to stop flood of rep in PM's. Well it's up to the judges!

As long as it doesn't cause people to not share as much; at least until I can figure out my place in the IM world and make some sort of stable profits - jk (not really)... I am just saying that it would seem that some people care a WHOOOLLLEEE lot about rep/thanks and recognition.. So if the change would mean that they get less recognition, and in turn stop giving me things to read, think about and attempt to implement... I say leave it alone until you hear Rich has started to make some $$ ... jk (again not really)

Yeh, BHW is an awesome community! I have been a member of other "related" (I use that term loosely) forums, but they were all about trying to pick off newbies and take their money in return for crap. But BHW has been one of the best things I have found in my short journey; and while I don't feel as if I have anything I can share that would be of benefit other than my experiences, I would hate for it to change the culture of the community.

I believe this forum is one of the most important 'tools' for anyone to have in their toolkit while going down this path.
