    AdCombo has opened totally new offers in Jordan, Lebanon in UAE! No other network has such offers in these GEOs and you all know what that means – no competition. In addition, they were absolutely private and almost no one ran it yet! So we are glad to say it is a really new market with fresh traffic and there is a new audience that is starved for new content and eye-catching ads

    Since we have promised you tips and lifehacks on those GEOs, now we are going to tell you more about these regions.

    And we begin with the United Arab Emirates (UAE, Emirates).

    The majority of the population in the country are expatriates from other countries so no surprise they use both Arabic and English versions of the country code top-level domain (ccTLD) – .ae (English) and .امارات (Arabic).

    And speaking of the popular things – we made a list of the 5 most visited websites in the UAE:

    - Facebook
    - Google
    - Google.ae
    - YouTube
    - Yahoo!

    As you can see the majority of these websites aren’t regional websites but global websites with a regional presence.
    And what about top 5 regional websites? Let’s see:
    - Google.ae
    - Dubizzle.com
    - Souq.com
    - Gulf News
    - Kooora

    News, sport and shop resources – this is what the Arabs are interested in. Also, you may have noticed that they use regional Google site, not a global one.
    But despite this, both English and Arabic are used in the UAE. Depending on the specific product you are promoting in the region it’s important to do your keyword research thoroughly in order to utilize your and efforts most effectively.

    Also, a couple of insights for you: “UAE” as a keyword has much higher exact match search traffic than “United Arab Emirates” (obviously because it is much easier to type). Another important thing you should know is that the keyword “Dubai” has about 10 times more traffic than the country name (any of the versions).

    And now let’s get to our favorite part, we are going to talk about social media.
    In the UAE, as in most countries, social networks are becoming a central part of daily life. And, of course, no surprise that Facebook is a leader with 3.4 million UAE users. But then surprisingly goes Linkedin with more than a million users. And the third place is Twitter – 305K active tweeters.

    What can we say about mobile marketing there? Go and explore it!
    Mobile marketing is one of the most (if not the most) rapidly growing online channels in the UAE. Smartphone usage continues to grow and the country has the lowest cell phone usage cost (out of any Middle East country). Some lower class members of society may not even have regular access to a PC making their smartphone their sole gateway to the Internet. So using mobile banner ads may be a really good idea for your profit

    Moving on – Lebanon

    Lebanon (as well as Jordan we will talk about a bit later) is not such an advanced country as UAE when it comes to affiliate marketing and digital marketing in general. Regardless, Lebanon hosts an increasingly tech-savvy population of over 6 million, with a wide-open Internet-ready for digital marketers to make a profit from.

    But back to the overview. The ability to target the right consumers for your product efficiently and intelligently depends on a good understanding of the motives, background, and culture of that audience (we hope it’s not news). So let’s quickly see what background this country has.

    Lebanon has 6 million people, 95% is Arab and, what is way more important, 40% of the population is Christian. This actually makes Lebanon the country with the greatest amount of Christians in the Middle East. This information can be very useful to publishers both in terms of targeting their Lebanese audience respectfully, and also for the creation of various seasonal ads and promotions.

    The official language is Arabic and French is used as the second language. Knowledge of English says about high levels of education.
    Lebanon uses only one ccTLD – .lb .

    Let’s see what sites they visit most often:
    - Google.com.lb
    - Facebook.com
    - Google.com
    - Youtube.com
    - Live.com

    The same situation as the UAE has – the majority of the list aligns to internationally popular websites such as Google and Facebook. Then let’s see top 5 regional websites:
    - Google.com.lb
    - Aljaras.com
    - Bintjbeil.org
    - Greenarea.me
    - Saidaonline.com

    Way more interesting, right? Apart from Google.com.lb and Greenarea.me, the sites focus on either entertainment news in the Middle East or on Lebanese current events. It is logical to assume, that there is a high level of interest across the Lebanese population on modern developments, entertainment, and information. Use this trend to target your ads more effectively

    Social media and networks. There is no need to say that Facebook holds the first place but it takes the lion’s share of the market – 80.4% of the Lebanon population use the Internet and nearly 78% of that 80.4% use Facebook! Impressive, don’t you agree? Second place is for Twitter and then goes Linkedin.

    By the way, Facebook boasts approximately 95.2% of the social media traffic on mobile, with Twitter earning 3% and all other sites (such as Google+, Tumblr, and YouTube) receiving other amounts of traffic.

    Speaking of mobile traffic – Lebanon has been lauded as the country in the Middle East that is most quickly going mobile. It was around 25% penetration in 2006 and now it’s about 89-90%!

    There is a lot of opportunities for affiliates to make a profit in Lebanon, with the country’s low competition and rising interest in mobile search and online exploration. All you need is be patient and research the local market as thoroughly as you can.

    And the last but not less important – Jordan.

    Begin with the basic information. Affiliates that are looking for an audience in Jordan should make their ad campaigns bearing in mind the young age of the country and population (about 42.2% is under 15 years old), large Muslim majority in the state and the emerging economy of the country, with the official unemployment rate 13% and the unofficial rate estimated at 30%.

    The official language is Arabic, English is a common second language among the middle and upper classes of society. So, publishers that are hoping for high visibility on their ads should focus on creating relevant keywords and ads written in the Arabic language with Arabic characters, with a lesser focus on English.

    As well as Lebanon, Jordan has only ccTLD – .jo.

    Moving on. The 5 most popular global websites are almost the same as the UAE and Lebanon have. So, it’s more interesting to see the top 10:
    - Google.jo
    - Facebook.com
    - Youtube.com
    - Google.com
    - Garaanews.com
    - Alwakeelnews.com
    - Sarayanews.com
    - Ammonnews.net
    - Alkawnnews.com

    The most notable thing about this list is the high prevalence of
    news websites among the top visited sites there. Jordan is a bit of an anomaly in this way, as most countries typically have more social media pages and search engines (such as Twitter, LinkedIn, and Bing) featuring in their top 10 listing.

    You should use this insight to focus your advertisements toward a curious and knowledgeable group with a high interest in the future of their country.

    Due to the high Internet and smartphone penetration, Jordanians are very active on social networking sites – 84% of Jordanians use social websites such as Facebook and Twitter with 28% accessing these sites on their phones.

    Jordan has the greatest preference towards Facebook in the Middle East but also shows high loyalty to Twitter – with 63% of the country subscribed and checking the site daily – take that into account.

    For a country with such a high rate of smartphone and Internet penetration, Jordan’s mobile market seems lacking. Most likely, the largest barrier to a thriving mobile market is the heavy taxation levied on mobile services.

    And while competition for the mobile market is currently low in Jordan, the current state of taxes and the economy may mean that the market will not prosper in the future and mobile ads is not really a good idea yet.

    So, affiliates may find great success running advertisements in Jordan due to the country’s low competition rates in PPC advertising, high Internet penetration rate, and young and increasingly technical population.

    In conclusion of the overviews above, we can say that there are enough weighty reasons to explore this market now. People are only starting to learn this part of advertising. Hooks and tips that don’t work anymore for popular GEOs are totally new and interesting for this audience.

    Stay tuned and don’t miss more tips

    Christmas is just around the corner and do you know what does that mean? It’s time to set up your campaigns for the weight-loss offers. We present you Black Latte! This product is the last word in the diet-offers market now. So, what’s the deal?

    Black latte is a weight-loss mix of coffee and activated coal. It absorbs fat, transform it into energy; purifies your body from toxins and wastes; reduces the feeling of hunger and gives you vigor. Moreover, there is a nice little bonus – the product helps with the production of dopamine – “the hormone of happiness”. Just dissolve 2 tablespoons in a glass of water, take 2 times a day and that’s it.

    Today many coffee houses around the world offer a special detox-latte with coal and search engines are full of the recipes. Actually, that’s quite good for us
    Search #CharcoalLatte hashtag on Instagram and you will get thousands of pics for your creative materials.

    By the way, if you have already run diet offers then it is a perfect option for you. Same target audience, same people, same approach but the absolutely new product – just edit campaigns, change your creative materials and start running Black Latte. What can be easier?

    We continue to share our affiliates’ cases with you to show you that it is possible to make a good profit with our network. Today we are going to tell you an unusual success story. Why unusual? There is no push-traffic, no Facebook. Our affiliate made money using… Google Ads!

    Want to know how? Let’s give him the word.

    CPA network: AdCombo

    Offer: Motion Free

    GEO: NL, BE

    Traffic Source: Google Ads

    Ad Spend: $3277

    Revenue: $7712

    Profit: $4435

    In the middle of July, I and my affiliate-mates have found a scheme for buying Google traffic and quick Google Ads accounts registration. So we, without a second thought, started testing different offers in Europe and Asia. One of the networks we tried was AdCombo.
    We’ve contacted a manager, found out what offer worth trying and started the testing. Some offers worked pretty well and one of them was Motion Free in NL, BE.

    For the most part, I tested ContextMedia and almost didn’t use Search Ads. It was the time when you could use text ads (without pictures) and easily pass the Google-bot moderation.

    Audience: men and women, 45+

    Devices: Mobile phones and tablets

    I made about 5 ad groups in one campaign, each with different keywords. So I used 2 keywords and 1-2 ads in each group.

    Some of the keywords I used: knee pain, osteochondrosis (or OCD), massage, etc.

    After a while, I’ve optimized my campaigns and have decreased the range of age, demography, and keywords. Then I have added a few ad places – some websites and apps have had very interesting results.
    In the end, I’ve come to the most profitable criteria of the target audience: men, 55+. By the way, I also left “Unknown” age – it had a good ROI as well.

    Speaking of ads – I used only text ones and tried to reduce the use of the forbidden words. Translate service has helped me to make a text-only version. And this is the main reason why Google didn’t ban my accounts right away.
    I had 4 accounts that have successfully passed the moderation and were able to run ads. Other accounts I made have been blocked by Google. So I decided not to complicate things and left it at that. My best account has spent more than $1100!

    Pay your attention to the budget. Even if your account gets blocked, the budget keeps increasing. It happens because of the automatic rules. I used them to raise my daily budget by 13% every day. I didn’t do it by myself – it may cause freezing my account. So I raised my daily budget and could buy more traffic – easy-breezy.
    In the end, AdCombo has increased the payout for me to $23.5 – a nice bonus, taking into account that the approval rate for this offer is 67%.

    So, what can I say?

    I didn’t make much effort – checked out my campaign in the morning just to edit something. The automation played a key role in my profit. I mean, raising the number of accounts and daily budget.
    Finding the cheapest target audience by age, geo, etc – that’s what brings a profit. If you just started buying the traffic, pay your attention to the criteria that may lower the cost per click. So the ad spend gets lower and you get more profit :)

    Is it the end of the year already?!

    We were so intent on our work, meetups, and networking with the affiliates that didn’t even notice when December has come. And so did all the winter holidays, especially Christmas!

    2018 has been amazing in every way and this is a tribute to your persistence. Of course, we did contests, meetups, participated in conferences and many other things. But all of this we do for you and without our great affiliates, we wouldn’t have made remarkable progress!

    But we’re just getting going

    We got huuuge plans for 2019! New offers, GEOs, tips, events, contests with prizes and this is only a tip of the iceberg. We promise you to do our best and make your work with us as pleasant and easy as it can possibly be.

    AdCombo would like to extend to all of you our best wishes for Christmas – the best of health and happiness, great payouts and conversion rates higher than the mountains, huge ROI and an endless stream of ideas for your creative materials! We are so grateful to have you with us, guys!

    Merry Christmas everyone!

    Networking is first and foremost a business process.
    Every person in affiliate marketing knows that the main goal of visiting digital events is networking. We can read this word in every chat either as on every industry group or forum. But not everyone understands the correct meaning of what networking is. Okay, let’s get to it.

    Business coaches, top-level affiliates, over-reached networks’ managers, online entrepreneurs and those who come to the conferences just to have fun – they all say that networking is the biggest part of success in every business. But no one explains what is it, how does it work, and what one needs to do to make his networking opportunities the right way.

    Webmasters and affiliates are always the self-made businessmen. They got in the online marketing industry just by themselves, and that explains why the major part of them doesn’t have some special education or a degree in business. That is why everyone understands the process of networking differently and when it comes to face-to-face communication they act completely intuitive. Someone does it well due to a natural charisma and someone gets mixed up because of shyness and carelessness.

    And that is the main reason for writing this guide – to show that networking is a complicated process and to learn all of you (affiliates, managers, businessmen, etc.) how does networking work.

    Let’s start with the basics. Networking is a complex and difficult process that includes the collection and analysis of information; communication; make great connections and increasing loyalty.
    In other words, networking is not just drinking with your AM to get private offers and bonuses but a range of actions that may bring an amazing profit. But first things first.

    Gaining, collecting, and analysis of information
    The crux of any affiliate event is communication. Most of the visitors are acting wrong because they don’t see (and don’t understand) all the opportunities they have there.

    Actually, there are tons of valuable insights that may help you but you need to learn how to listen, how to ask the right questions, analyze and structure the information you received. Remember – there is no such a thing as useless knowledge, you just don’t know how to use it right yet.

    Affiliates can get a lot of important info from the managers. What’s going on in a company, does a network have any new releases coming, maybe some of the managers work in another network now? Also, don’t forget about mass-media. What service buys more ads than others? What relationships do networks have between them? Who owns a company? Traffic networks may tell you which affiliate networks are their partners (so you know where do they monetize their unsold traffic) and which geos are not popular at all. Not bad, right?

    You can get lots of interesting information and valuable tips if you know what questions to ask. You may learn what companies are bigger than others, what relationships do the companies have, which network may hold the payouts, who sells the products with the side effects.

    [IMG]

    Network owners are the best information sources. Due to their position, they know much more than others. Of course, they will not share any exclusive information with just anyone. You need to be a really useful person to get the information from them directly.

    Senior managers are less important but still very useful. They have been in the business for a long time and know the market pretty good. Moreover, they may pick up some information from owners. But keep in mind that senior managers know exactly what they can or can’t say. Getting really valuable tips from them is not that easy.

    Experienced managers. A regular manager goes to an event to get for his network as many affiliates as it’s possible. They usually don’t care about relationships or economics on the market, a manager sees not affiliates but potential clients for his company. You can learn from him a lot about his network, inner relationships, departments, business processes. Those managers don’t usually watch what they say and this is a good bonus for you.

    Top-level affiliates. Generally, they are always just about to start their own online-marketing project. No doubt – every strong CPA team will start their own service, product or CPA network, sooner or later. The leaders of those teams know a lot of inner information and can be a very useful person. But be careful – they are looking for insights as well as you. You may not even notice how you become a source of information.

    Drunk affiliates.
    Webmasters go to a conference to have fun, talk about marketing and beg your AM for bonuses and private offers. An affiliate that doesn’t know the basic rules of networking may be a good information source because he doesn’t watch what he says, doesn’t try to get any private info from you and likes to drink.

    Bloggers and Medias.
    You can meet different kind of bloggers at the events. Some of them used to be good affiliates or agents of a network/service before and can provide you some really interesting and useful information, tips and lifehacks. Talk with them, share contacts – who knows where it will take you.

    But there is another type of bloggers – they are always looking for some interesting facts and news but can’t offer anything in return. Be careful – they will try to get any information from you and then you realize that they have nothing useful to share. That kind of bloggers comes to the events only for personal gain.

    The main thing you need to learn – networking is a mutual process. No one will share valuable information with a no-name person. You have to be useful to be needed.

    Meeting new people and making the right connections
    Roughly speaking, networking has two kinds of profit for you: expertise and the right contacts. It’s simple – a person that has the right knowledge and skills can be a very useful information source. People in the niche are glad to share their info if you are able to offer something useful in return.

    When you are a newbie, you have not so much valuable expertise and knowledge and you have to get it. The more you know, the more you are needed. And after a while, you get a lot of helpful info and insights. After analyzing, it turns into useful information that you can exchange for other insights.

    And when you have an expertise, you become a useful person. When you are useful, you have access to other useful people – you got the right connections. Not the ones that the crime lords have, but access to people with helpful and interesting information.

    This is a coax of networking – having access to the right people at any time.

    Building a pool of the right contacts
    A person that has both an expertise and access to the right people becomes incredibly useful. Everybody tries to make the acquaintance with him, have a talk, get your contacts. All our niche hinges on communication.

    But you have to understand that you never know what person you will need at the next moment. This is the biggest bonus of communication – the right connections that sneak up on you help to promote your business and lead to a new level.

    When you know every valuable person in the niche, it becomes much easier to get new insights, find new capable affiliates for your team, settle for the integration with other services, etc.

    [IMG]

    Increasing the loyalty
    Networking is face-to-face communication, not callous chatting. Not a secret that one phone call may be way more effective than chatting for a week. But a face-to-face meeting is as effective as a week of phone calls.

    Meeting with your colleagues and partners, companies representatives provides new opportunities for getting better working conditions, access to private offers and products. Also, it’s much easier to find partners for your team in person.

    Live communication works great with the “Webmaster <= Network” scheme. Networks are pretty loyal to the affiliates that make leads (and profit, of course). But it works not so good the other way round. A publisher has a choice among the dozens of networks but a network is interested in EVERY publisher (because its main goal is to get as many leads as it’s possible).

    The participation of the networks in any niche event is a competition for affiliate attention. The ratio of networks and services to affiliates and webmasters is about 60/40, respectively. That is why networks take conferences and other events so seriously.

    This is particularly important for the major international events because a network pays not only for the sponsorship but for flight tickets, hotels, and the managers’ maintenance. Sometimes they need to buy additional tickets to a conference. Don’t forget that all the merchandising and souvenirs cost money as well.

    So we can see that the participation in any conference costs a lot. And a network/service has to be sure that it’s worth it. That’s why companies are so serious about their business trips.

    How networks prepare for the events
    Every network prepares differently. Some of them send 7-8 managers to reach more potential clients, others send just a couple of the best managers. Someone send the most effective employees and someone sends the most beautiful ones (girls, usually).

    Some networks hire only good-looking, pretty girls to draw affiliates attention. Most part of the networks even has a specific guidance note on how to behave during an event. By the way, the instructions for men and women are different.

    Some networks buy sponsorship a year before a conference, some do this at the last minute but they all come at the events for a result. And affiliates should be learning from them.

    Managers make meeting schedules with the most interesting participants of a conference in advance. There are a few services that help to plan a meeting at a given time at a particular location. Usually, those schedules are painted on minutes so the sooner you arrange a meeting, the better.

    Moreover, support managers try to talk to literally everyone at the event. Quite often their KPI depends on the number of contacts they got.

    Frequently, the people from CIS countries who come at AWA/AWE for the first time are pretty surprised that nobody drinks alcohol before the end of the first day. And this is right – drank manager is not effective.

    Also, networks give a lot of attention to the appearance of the managers – colors, patterns, etc. They need to draw attention not only with the products but with the look as well.

    Some people in the niche think that going to conferences and business trips, in general, is a privilege. Other countries, people, memories. Actually, those trips can really wear you out.

    A manager needs to be on his feet from early morning until late night, constant communication, there are no time-outs. Two-days conferences with afterparties mean 3-4 hours for sleep per day. The rest of the time, the manager has to be friendly and welcoming.

    Constant communication for two days is a lot harder than it sounds. If you think otherwise – you never been at such events or worked half power or didn’t work at all.

    People at the events are different too. You meet sociable, communicative people and meet shy and nervous ones as well. usually, managers have different cases scenario of dialogue to improve their efficiency.

    Features on communicating
    Don’t forget to pay attention to the cultural background when you talk to people. In some cultures, people appreciate tenacity and confidence. Other ones tend to embellish their skills and experience. Some people have no sense of community at all – there are a lot of insolent people at the conferences.

    There are situations when you meet a person that knows nobody but you. That kind of person starts to hang around you. They may follow you just to have a company with somebody. You need to convince him to talk to someone else, gently, but firmly.

    Spy games
    Experienced guests of the conference know that rivals don’t rest. Everyone wants to know more about colleagues, partners, competitors. That is why everyone pulls the wool over other people’s eyes there. Networks lie about their traffic, affiliates lie about their experience and skills.

    So it’s always better to get information not first-hand but from the outside. Everyone lies about themselves. Some people lie a bit, some of them lie a lot but there is no exception.

    Digital events are made for exhibitors, it is an opportunity to show their best. So there is no surprise they lie in the hope of getting more clients.

    What we are trying to say is that you can’t see all the profit you can get at once but don’t underrate it. Collecting information, analyzing it and using just at the right moment is hard. You can’t exchange your knowledge and contacts for payouts and you need some time to turn it into money. But sometimes its value costs more than money.

    Think about it next time you will go to a conference and decide what’s better: have fun and get drunk or do some networking

    Who has read up we can add a bonus as a list of tips:

    • Get a good night’s rest before an event. You’re no good to anyone if you are sleepy;
    • Don’t hesitate, come and have a chat with everybody. You know nothing about a person before you talk to him;
    • Feel free to ask questions – even if an answer is not helpful, you lose nothing;
    • Focus on collecting information. Many people can easily have a chat with anyone and gain some useful info but what’s the point if they forget it in a couple of days;
    • Don’t be afraid to recommend useful contacts. If your contact is not helpful for a person, nobody will blame you. If it is helpful, you become helpful too;
    • It’s okay to make notes. Some people still have notebooks, some write the info right on the business cards;
    • Make more selfies with the people you talk to. Photos help to remember what you talked about;
    • Don’t be scared of sharing information you have – people with knowledge and insights are highly appreciated (if it isn’t bad for your business);
    • Don’t lose business cards you got. Keep it even if you are not going to use;
    • Be friendly and cheerful to everybody even if you tired – nobody likes to talk to a sad and limp person;
    • Don’t impose. Sometimes people don’t want to talk even if they come to an event. Find someone else;
    • Don’t drink too much alcohol. Being drunk have nothing in common with Business talks.

    I registered on this network with the hope of getting my acc approved to promote sweep stakes and dating offers. Only to be assigned with an un-professional affilliate manager trying to force me to promote Nutra offers which i have very little experience on. Instead of the affiliate manager to tell me straight away we can't approved your acc if you do not promote Nutra offers he/she kept wasting my precious time till i got approved on other network.

    Just subscribed to network, put there everything, the same username as here, but I don't use SKYPE - I use the only Telegram ... so I have something like: Wait for the manager to verify your source of traffic. :)

    Hello telim2,

    First of all, sorry for your bad experience with us. Yes, we are famous for our Nutra offers, but we have plenty of other offers that you can promote. Secondly, kindly send me a PM with AM's name and proofs of you having such a conversation with him, . This is really valuable information for us, since we are constantly working on improving our services.
    Lastly, if you still want to work with AdCombo you can apply one more time. I will do my best to get your account approved.

    Thank you!
