Was selling for someone here, who lied about having invoices incase something happened.

Situation is, my account, IP, everything is in the UK, and the product I was selling was from the US and sent to US customers only; which is probably why eBay are finding something suspicious. Needless to say, restricted from selling.

Would a fake invoice work? How many have actually been successful with this? The person I was selling for says that their supplier left, and so they could not get the invoices (lied either way since they said they had them before I sold for them). Is it worth telling the truth about the supplier being gone?

Well, tell us who it is so there aren't other victims

It would be a flag, but I've heard of people getting away with this sort of stuff...so I'm guessing what you sell had a lot to do with it.

Depends on what you sold. If you sold VERO items who are on the list of not allowing their brands to be sold on eBay, then asking you to send in invoice is a polite way of telling you to bugger off.

Do you have a scanner and photoshop? If yes, then you should know what to do. If not, then your account is toast.

Can't find the person's blackhat name. I have his Skype name though...

Is this a method that actually works? No scanner, but surely I can just find one. Would eBay attempt to call the number on the invoice? Not sure how to go about making a fake one eBay will accept.

lol it amazes me how people put long-standing, good ebay accounts at risk by getting involved with the randoms who post here asking for multiple sellers.

I'll admit, it was dumb and I've learnt my lesson.
I never knew eBay would lock an account due to the location of which the item was sent from. After being locked, I did my research and understand the error I made. BUT, this is my personal account, and I need it back. Have you been successful with fake invoice?

I suppose at this point you have nothing to lose.

So what were you selling and how many people didn't get their item?

T25 workouts. They came with DVDs, the guides and the exercise equipment.
Erm.... I'm a legitimate seller. Everyone received their item and no bad feedback left, all positive.

I have bought some items on a car-boot sale without invoice. I was a seller on eBay for more than 3 years with 2 negative feedback's during these time, basically no reason to create suspicions, still eBay restricted my account and asked for invoices. I couldn't offer them so my account is still restricted from selling. I haven't tried fake invoices, but I guess you have nothing to lose. If you won't provide them invoices, they will not lift your restrictions.

Well there you go...that is one of the most dangerous items to sell on eBay. I'm pretty sure that's on the "list it and we'll ban you" list. Combine that with your account was registered in another country, and it was inevitable.

Not anymore...since I'm 99.999999999999% sure that you sold fakes.

Doesn't matter...eBay's paid out millions for letting people sell fakes on their site, and they're going to protect their own ass.

As people have said, you have nothing to lose, but considering that they banned you for selling fake items, my guess is that when you send in the fake invoice, it goes straight to the trash.

I'm just wondering if a fake invoice has actually worked for someone before? If not, then there's no point in me trying that way.

Exactly the same situation happened to me, 2 weeks ago and I'm from the UK myself, apprently I was selling something ' Fake ' and Nike sent out a DMCA, luckily I had receipts from the Nike Store.

I know about fake receipts being able to do it, but not invoices because most of them go through Paypal and sent out from their but if you mean receipts on the products, it is possible but I'm not sure it's necessary in your case.

They removed my listing and later on told me it was 7 days restricted from me posting anything, literally 2 days after I got that 7 day restriction notice from eBay, Paypal restricted my account.

Let me know what exactly happened, did Paypal limit your account and eBay stopped on you?

PayPal haven't given me any issues. The PayPal account has gone through a lot of checks and have been cleared by PayPal for a few years now.
Only eBay is currently giving me the restriction on selling until I show them proof of goods with an invoice.

That is exactly what happened with my situation, I have been verified and never had any limitations as everything was done back in 07-08. Let me explain what happens and please take this as point of view advice, withdraw all if any of the money you have in Paypal but keep the exact amount of money for eBay fees, if you don't know how to check your eBay selling fees for the month, go onto eBay's account settings and it would appear as ' Current Balance '.

Now, the thing that I did to somewhat attempt to resolve the situation is phone eBay customer support and explain your situation but act as if you don't know what happened and state that you have been using eBay for X amount of years and never been through this distress before and just seem sympathetic and ask what can be done about this , now in my case, they didn't help me but they put a note on my account that I got in touch with them which is great for any future issues that may occur but if they say that you don't have any other options but to submit it, towards the end of the conversation end it with something along the lines of ' I may be able to get the invoice but I will need to have a look ' and ask them where to submit the invoice too if you do manage to get a hold of it.

At this point, it is important that you act as if you have no idea what has happened and you may have been conned and hand over the fake invoice acting none the wiser.

Most of the time, they fix this situation and let you off with a warning because they know that can happen.

Trust me, everything I stated above is from personal experiences dealing with that.
