AC uk payments

Hi guys I signed up for associated content, but was told that I wasn't eligible for an upfront payment. The reason being, I wasn't in the US or a citizen of the US or something like that.
I'm located in the U.K. Does this mean I'm not eligible for upfront payments or is there another way around this?
