Hello everyone,
I've learnt a lot from BHW about affiliate marketing. One of the methods is using Yahoo! Answers to get targeted traffic to your blog where the product is promoted.
I posted the following answer to a question where a guy was inquiring whether it is possible to make legit money online-

"There are legit ways to make money online. The way I earn is by affiliate marketing. I run a blog, create content, promote products and get paid for the sale I just made. It's challenging and definitely not boring like taking some stupid surveys. I've written an article for newbies on affiliate marketing from what I've learn't over the years. (Here I put the url ). Affiliate marketing is the best way to make money online instead of relying on google adsense and other ad services. Cheers!"

In the article I promoted a training program on affiliate marketing.
But later my answer was removed and 10 points deducted!
Can anyone please tell me what I did wrong.
Thanks.

Your post sounded outright spammy. You need to hide it more. Example would be "Has anyone heard of blah blah blah." "I want feedback because I saw this blah blah blah."

Oh, thanks...
Already 4 of my answers have been reported. I think my account will be deleted shortly
Is it detected by bots or people?

Exactly, try not to say that it's your blog. More along the lines of "I found this great blog, it really helped me" ..but they are pretty strict, especially with the make money online stuff.

Yahoo Answers is a really tough way to make a buck. If you have a url in your ad directing people to your blog your account will be deleted within minutes.

I prefer not to even mention that you read it in blah blah blah. You can put a generic sentence in, and then when you get asked to quote the source with a link. Put it in there. You'll never have a problem.

Now a days yahoo answers is acting too strict. In fact few days back I ordered a service of posting yahoo answers. I checked today and found only one answer alive with my link :-(

I really want to make my first sale guys...I have spent LOTS of time learning and implementing but no success.
Any tips would be appreciated

Take a good look at links that stay alive for a long time, then implement the strategies you find there into your posting. You will run across many times a possible deletion of messages for the most random reasons. Your competitors have the power to even just report your link with 1,000 dummy accounts, but your problem might be you need to "redo" your strategies. Try new posting styles and see which sticks, and you can thank the outright spammers and idiots for making Yahoo more strict on posting rules.

Oh! I never thought about my competitors reporting my answers. thanks for the info...I will submit an appeal

Is it useful to build backlinks to my answers with ma affiliate links?

I am curious if you do any CPA offerings and if you use content lock software with the CPA offering?

I've used Yahoo Answers for this, but didn't get good results.
