I'm about to use my wife's FB account to buy ads. My account was suspended a while back and I want to make sure that I don't get hers suspended. I'm resetting my laptop to factory settings. I had previously used this laptop with my FB account (the one that was suspended). Should I use a VPN when using her account or should I just use my factory restored laptop without a VPN? She uses her FB account from our home so I figure it would make more sense to use a laptop that has an IP at this location rather than a VPN but I'm also afraid that FB will know that I'm accessing her account from a laptop that was previously used on a suspended account though I'm not sure how they would know that since I'm resetting it to factory settings.

There shouldn't be any problems using your wife's account from the same IP address. I have a suspended personal account and an active business account using the same login details. Providing you are using different a different payment option I don't think they are bothered too much. In libraries, workplaces etc. many people log in to Facebook with different details and the same IP address

You can always look into a VPS with a Virtual Machine. I use them for SEO and they run great! You can also look into buying seasoned accounts so that you don't mess hers up. They are available in the marketplace.

You personally have two accounts? One personal and one business? How do you do that? I thought you could only have one account. I had been using my personal account to buy ads. Can you just open up an account for your business?

You can set up a business account using your personal account and I can buy ads no problem with my business account even though my personal one is suspended. I even accidentally contacted FB support asking them to reinstate my account giving them my business account details by mistake and they never said anything!!

I would try setting up a business account first if you are worried about using your wifes account. Just go to business dot facebook dot com and login with your personal Facebook details and see how you get on

Thanks. I set up a business account from my personal account and I was able to add a new credit card and my ad was approved but an hour later they deactivated both of my accounts because they were "flagged because of unusual activity". I changed my password and uploaded my driver license so hopefully they'll reactivate my business ad account soon. I didn't want to use the credit card that was on my personal account when that account was suspended so I added my wife's credit card. That might have been the reason it was flagged.

VPNs are the easiest things to detect, especially for a company like Facebook. Stay safe and don't underestimate them. :)
