Hey guys, I don't have much time to write this.

here is the deal, I am inches away from signing my very first offline deal.

I just can't think of an adequate price to quote.

Here is what he wants to be ranked in G for:

keyword one (one word, generic term ) - 90,500/mo It's in one country only.
    keyword 2 - 40/mo
    keyword 3 - 2,900
    keyword 4 - 0 (name of firm)

He is a family friend, how much should I charge?
    How much would you charge.

This should include website + design + ranking (seo) + gallery and pictures

Thanks a lot for your help!

How about 200 for first month and then up it gradually?

you are hitting way too low, you are building a site, doing onsite, doing offsite etc, $750 for setting up site and onsite seo, that includes $250 of offsite linking pacakages

Then thereafter $500 a month to rank page 1 for all, then sit back choose one of the great packages in BST that will rank upto 10kws for $150 a month or so and let them do the work

Make sure you sign him up for 6 months minimum , you can tell him seo is not instant it takes time etc

Yes, exactly. Just serve him with best service you can so that he wont leave you & stick to you as a permanent client. If its his first website then design it like a professional & then ofc you can scratch his pocket later :d

That was a long ass meeting.
Here is what I did and here are the results:

Explained that SEO takes time and monthly investments of about $300, but that this is a variable because of the ever changing SEO world. Agreed on a long term campaign. Around 1 year.

I will handle all the seo stuff and design, the other party will provide content.

I am getting paid once (big) for making the site and designing it, also I get paid big every time there is a general change in the site.

Other than that, I get paid monthly.

The thing that worries me is that we didn't agree on the big payments and monthly payments.

Because this was discussed with other family members around, he made a sign that he will contact me about it later.

I want to be ready for that phone-call.

How does this sound: (Keep in mind his firm can earn some serious cash and because of his niche, a website can be a very big client generator.)

Big payments (I am roughly converting these) - $300
    Monthly payments - $250

Here is the trick though - we agreed on a investment budget for the site. That means I will be getting around $200/mo just for SEO.

What do you think? I don't want to completely drain him right away because
    a) he is family
    b) his firm can get very big, and I can charge more each month.

I really appreciate the help guys, this is my first offline and I want to make it count.
