About to buy twitter account 200k+ followers - Things I should confirm before purchase?

Twitter account has 200k+ followers, ran into it when purchasing some sponsored tweets in my niche and he mentioned he's looking to just sell the account. It's an older account and the owner hasn't tweeted for ~4 months, before that was actively tweeting multiple a day with a fair amount of favorites + retweets, comments etc. Now I do want to make sure there is still active engaged followers so I'm making him get an up to date twitter audit (is there any other sites I should have reports from?) and am thinking about making him post a few tweets of my choosing to see the engagement myself from there as well. Also, I assume PayPal would be fine for purchase?

Any other recommendations?

Sounds like you got your bases covered. Engagement is extremely important, as is the account owner posting some stuff to verify ownership. The only thing I can think of is possibly using a middle man service for the payment if you decide to go ahead, so you don't get scammed.
