    Hello black hat people,

I have been a member for years on this forum but I think this is the first time I actually post something here (just checked and it is indeed my first post). Reason is I don't consider myself a black hat, never have, never used the techniques but I try to stay updated by coming in every once in a while and see what you're all up to.

Any ways, the reason I'm posting today is because I'm getting tired of trying to increase pagerank on some sites with no real results.

I am trying to bring a client to first results on a specific three word keyword, I am right in the middle of the third page which is position 25th and out of curiosity I started checking the pagerank of the 24 punks in front of me, they all had either a pr of 2 3 4 and even 5, I only found one single site in the first page with pr 0.

My client's domain is 8 months old, he has been with me for less than 3 months after ditching he previous developer/SEO, before me he was nowhere to be found on the SERPs and numbers have increased nicely.

Ok now, after the long explanation what I'm trying to figure out is:

1 - Since my client's domain has a pagerank of 0 is that as high as it will get (position 25) unless I increase the pr? (would make sense).

2 - What do you all recommend to increase pagerank?

Thanks in advanced for any help provided :)

PageRank has very little to do with rankings, and any relationship it does have is correlational and not causational. Increasing the PageRank, in and of itself, will do nothing for your client's rankings.

Having a high PR can help out clients in a slight angle. Just like having a bunch of high PR backlinks can help your site.

Ok, I get that it could be just coincidence that everyone in front of me has a higher pagerank, leaving that aside and focusing on gtreeoutsourcing's answer, the content of this site is original, not copied from anywhere and yes the quality is good, the site has been submitted to several directories and most of them are even niche related, we are active on facebook and google+ with at least one post per week and the design is very good looking, had a bounce rate of around 20% before I started putting links on reddit (which has brought lots of traffic but is not good traffic overall).

I guess the main topic here is taking a little turn and its not about pagerank anymore, I'll give you some numbers to see if they are helpful at all just in case anyone is interested in giving more opinions

1 - Webmaster tools show 74 links from 10 different domains.
2 - I've submitted 21 URLs so far, they are all indexed.

That's all I got, I don't know what else to do...
