The whole purpose of this journey thread was to share what I was learning about the income school method as I was learning it with others who were interested.
Obviously you were interested, you came in to the thread.
You can have your opinion and you can share your opinion. But it has zero value in this thread if it doesn't help us advance our knowledge.

Actually, this isn't your journey thread.... but other than that I agree with you.
And people who bash Income School don't really know Income School.
I'm not a Kool aid drinker but they don't teach anything that isn't being taught by any of the blogging gurus like Pat Flynn, TASS, Five Figure Niche Site, etc. etc.
1. Keyword research is the most important step and you need to analyze the SERPs competition.
2. You should create very high quality content, not cheap spun crap, and use video/visual content to retain eyeballs.
3. A mixture of info and affiliate content.
4. Support your site with a YT channel.
5. Monetize with ads, affiliate links and your own info products.
6. Build quality backlinks.
7. Once you have 6 months of good income, sell your site for 20-30x revenue.
That is the Income School model in a nutshell. Not complex. Nothing revolutionary.
They just got a lot of attention because they are very personable on YT. And even though they say "don't build backlinks" they actually say that backlinks are the number one ranking factor and teach whitehat methods to get backlinks.
Lots of good info here at BHW to support a blogging/affiliate model.
@Stackz posted some great resources (Thanks). Getting some first hand recommendations is great.

In summary, his strategy was lots of great content (to the point of being an authority) and a lot of diverse links built at a reasonable velocity. If you're not happy with using PBNs, you could switch them out and outreach guest posts instead. Apart from the PBNs, everything else could be built on a whitehat journey.
His journey also shows that there are ways of managing risk. Don't like buying PBNs from the marketplace but can't afford premium editorial links? You could build your own PBN, or simply rent them until you can afford to switch away from them. There are also plenty of other ways of managing risk not mentioned in this journey (such as using buffer sites).
You can find success by following many different paths. Some paths are more direct. Some paths are riskier. You just need enough information to choose the path that suits you.

Kindly do not write the words "Assshole Of The Day" ever again for yourself. Love yourself and keep on getting better without being negative about yourself as you can definitely change yourself because you are capable enough to do so if you seriously want to do the same for making yourself stronger on all fronts. Enough of lecture, you yourself are wise and resourceful not to criticize yourself in front of everyone as it doesn't serve any purpose.

it's not worth it anyway even if they paid us. Better info out there for free on youtube - you can learn more from the Niche Pursuits podcast for example. Or just reading the journeys on BHW.The link no longer works
