? about hiding My IP

Can anyone answer this for me.

If I log into a wireless online connection while on the road, wouldn't I be on a different IP? I was thinking that while I am running about town, I could get some of those things done which require my IP to be different such as voting up my propellers, making extra accounts etc.

Any one know the answer to this?
