Get a few orders first. Then you have to contact them.

There's 2 WSO's - Can't remember what they're called but there's videos to walk you through. They are pretty useless but they answer your question.

! am told you need to contact Fiverr to get a featured ad.

Not sure if you have to pay for it.

I bought one of the WSO's that claimed to be able to get an gig featured (it was quickly pulled because it was blackhat.)

Author claimed that being featured was based solely on traffic. His method was to use an autosurf program to build up pageviews of your gig. Claimed that you would quickly become featured. I gave it a try, but it didn't work. Could be that I missed something, but I was also able to identify a couple of the author's gigs, and they were not featured.

It's possible that it did work that way at some point, but if so, I suspect that Fiverr figured out that they were asking for trouble and changed it.

I never had to ask them to have my gig featured. One day I just started getting lots of orders and then noticed that my gig became a featured gig.

I posted this in another thread related to Fiverr. But here it is again:
I've spoken with their staff about this a couple of times. It's a combination of feedback, views, and good traffic--but specifically from various sources. If all the traffic comes from one source, they won't give it as much cred. Ultimately, featured gigs are stamped as featured by the humans working for Fiverr, though they use the numbers as a guide, it can at times be subjective depending on what a particular staff member finds appealing.
At least that's how Fiverr support explained it to me.
