Ok I got my autoblog banned from google yesterday. $20 per day blog lost :(

I was wondering, why sites like metacritic.com, flixster.com, rottentomatoes.com, www.consumersearch.com, www.mahalo.com I have put copyscape in all those and all use copy and scraped content from other sites, of course not the whole article but it´s scaped content. Just do a simple google search from their reviews and you will see.

Why this sites don´t get a google ban? It got me wondering, and now researching to make a new strategy. Maybe it´s because they look like a high profile site with a logo, good design with a premium or customized theme, and some unique features (some of them have ads ALL over the place). But in any case they use the EXACT content from other sites... yes EXACT content.

Got me wondering and now I´m full of ideas to make sites. And also I will go white hat with this one, no scrapebox blast, forum spam or anything else, maybe these sites don´t do that also.

Duplicated and scraped content from other sites can still make you rank higher if you get the content before most other people put them on their sites.

The sites you mentioned still get ranked because of their tons of backlinks. Most sites like that are authority sites.
