i got myself a car "myself" on my 20th bday! :)

it depends on how much you make... never spend more than 10-20% of what u make! if thats fits the bill for the car.... nobody stopping u... go for it!

i bought my first car when i was 18 - had to save up for deposit and insurance etc, was a 2yr old Red XR3i Convertible! LOL I thought it was the dogs bollocks when i got it too, with RS Cosworth Rims as well.... think my insurance was about 2500GBP at the time!!!!! LOL Back in 1992!!!! :D

i dont think being 19 is too young providing you can afford it... if anything it will give you lots of freedom/independence just dont be a dick and get in wreck for showing off, or get banned for excessive speeding or some other crap like that! :)

Good luck and enjoy it! :)

PS dont buy a ringer! LOL

Something sounds so wrong about seeking advice the day before you're going to buy a car. Will you be living in it full time? If not, then yes buy it!

19 is way too young to get a car, you have to be atleast 25

My first car was at 18. It was a 96 Eagle Talon TSI with AWD. Was a 12 second car. I got drunk one day and crashed it. Stupid as way to learn my lesson, but I have not D&D since.

I went to driving school when i was 18.
But i actually was driving around already before it. 17-18 years old.
I bought my first car for $4500. I was very satisfied with it. It was BMW E36, 75kW, 1994.
I never loved cars with big engines and with lot's of kW-s. Then there was accident (not by my fault), i got lot's of money back from insurance company and i bought another one.
BMW E36 83kW, 1992, cost me $2200. Again, i was very satisfied, car didn't have any problems. Then after year i had some money problems i had to sell it. Then at the beginning of summer 2008 i bought another one for $3000, BMW E36 318i, 85kW, 1991.
I failed totally when bought this. It had serious engine problem, (oil bump) and engine just let's say was working almost without any oil and car had some other small problems. Of course i had to fix all, i went to BMW service and they fixed all problems, but it cost me around $2000. Then i had again money problems and sold this to one pretty girl in our town. Car still drives around as i see and im very happy to see it. I want this one back actually. I have the girl number, so if i will start looking for new one then i will call her.
So have now 2,5 years of experience in driving. I love driving around with car (especially with BMW). I could fill the tank and drive around until it's empty and fill again and drive again around, till empty.
I don't even care about gas prices, actually i never care about the gas price. I just want and need to drive.
    Can't live without it.

BMW E36, for me: love from the first sight. BMW is and must have, i will never change it to anything else.
