    Hey there blackhatters,

    So after the MU fall I started to think about ways to create a movie site (free streaming), and the first solutions that came after searching were to "steal" or take embbed links from sites like veoh, videobb, and those. So I started searching for those embbed links, but of course, every site that once hosted full movies started to take down all movies; so i started thinking how the hell would i set up a movie site if all embbed links (to videos, of course) were taken down by major sites?

    So I started research and found that I could buy a dedicated server with high port speed + huge space in disk (HDD); so I bought:

    a dedicated server with:
    =>10Gbps port speed
    =>2Tb of HDD
    =>Unmetered
    =>24Gb of RAM
    => Located in Netherlands

    And of course bought a .ru TLD for TLD purposes. The question is: Do you think that with these settings can I run a successful movie site, without any legal prosecution?!?! What do you think?

    I would say that if you're located in the United States then yes.

    This is a terrible idea.. lol If it turns out to be successful, you'll be assraped somehow legally. If it turns out to be another normal movie site, then you just wasted a bunch of money.

    I think if the site is good, you can make really good money. If the site is good, advertising will do itself. Offer a 3-day free trial, and kids will blast your site throughout their social networks as 'the new icefilms.info'

    It is worth noting that the USA government (to my knowledge) has only taken down .coms, over which it claims jurisdiction. This is not to say they won't make an exception for your site. However the threshold is pretty high. MegaUpload had millions of users and billions in revenue. Bodog also had millions of users. By then you'd be a multimillionaire however.

    A blackhat version of this business model would include setting up the site, and once you get a million memberships, cancel the site. That could be a ten million dollar site.

    Chargebacks on $10 would be negligible. Don't believe me, ask any clickbank mogul. People pay $30 for a medical cure which never happens...and don't ask for their money back. With your site, the members would have probably watched a few movies and already gotten their value's worth as movie theater tickets are $12+ for just a single movie.

    The statue of limitations for copywright infringement for both Civil and Criminal charges is 3 years. So after that you're all good...

    Edit:Also, to keep chargebacks even lower, when you cancel the site put up the Dept of Justice logo on the index.html so people think your website has been seized. They will be less likely to want to contact you or associate themselves with you after they think the government is involved. They will think that the government will come after them for subscribing.

    Lol I dont know the relation between USA and being successful with this.

    Actually ive got two servers, server A is the one described in the first post and server B is a normal VPS where I plan to host the website and in server A to host the movies, so in server B i would put a dmca policy and terms of service saying that the servers are NOT hosted in the server and is only linked to third party links.

    What do you think?

    No. They can of course find you, they are the most powerful government in the world.

    But they won't have any legal recourse if you:
    1)host the site on a foreign domain and
    2)the server hosting the movies is in a foreign country.
    3)Don't pay taxes on earnings.

    But that doesn't mean the country where you host the files can't charge you. They can.

    The MegaUpload boys were hit once the DoJ proved copyrighted files were stored on a MU server in Virginia, USA.

    All the file sharing sites that are shutting down, restricting access, throttling bandwidth are all based in the USA, and have their servers in the USA.

    Also, consider how long PirateBay has been online, only last year was the founder sentenced to 1 year in jail, and $4.5M fine. I'm sure he is worth much more than that...and year isn't that long if you are a multimillionaire when you get out I would imagine.

    I stand by that the best plan is the get in, and get out fast plan. Less than 6 months. Make a few million dollars, move to mexico and open a salsa bar and retire on the beach.

    Ask yourself if its worth it and determine it from there. It's a big risk and with big risks sometimes come with big consequences.

    Of course, i know that, sir. The thing is that it has the potential of earning from $xx,xxx to somewhere around the $xxx,xxx mark in a VERY VERY SHORT span of time.
