I just realized that this is probably because Bing is powering Yahoo now, so this section of Yahoo is probably being powered by something else now.

There´s another thread already somewhere with others complaining about the same fact.

This happened a year ago as well and backlinks showed up again a couple of hours/days later.

Experiencing the same decrease, but no SERP change. We'll just have to wait and see.

Mine seem to be mostly ezinearticle BL's disappearing.

I noticed this a week or two ago on a few of my sites. I lost about 2k-3k backlinks, however it hasn't yet effected my PR or SERP.

My only answer, just add a butt load more :)

I noticed the same. BL on yahoo dropped about 50% but no changes on results or PR.
As mentioned above yahoo/bing deal could be the cause.

You should use your webmaster login to see your links. It has been improved now so you can see in full your link profile.

Yahoo is pretty crappy and it takes you ages to look through.

That is why I always automate my backlinks.
Because if you were to manually do it, some douche out there will report your profile or the webmaster will delete it and THERE! Your hardwork is gone.

I've seen a large drop in backlinks also but not any difference in rankings. I'm not too worried about it at the moment but I hope it evens out as most of my research comes from Yahoo API backlink tools
